It's made of strong plastic, doesn't bend or feel flimsy in the hand. Cuts bass strings with ease, winds strings easily. The end that covers the tuning key is very large, and perhaps on smaller, closer spaced, tuning keys may pose a problem. You'll just have to turn one key vertical and then wind the other one, and finish off tuning by hand (of course). I like that it's plastic, contrary to some other reviews, as it doesn't scratch or mar finishes unless someone should get stupid with it, and it's heavy enough plastic that you're not scared to use it. Good product. I'd buy another one without a doubt.

I have a couple of these. I leave one in my office at home (where I practice) and one in my bass case so if I break a string during a gig. It's very easy to use and does the job. What I wish it had was 2 screwdriver heads: a small flat head for bridge saddle height and a medium sized Phillips head to adjust the bridge saddle distance. Then I wouldn't need any other tools haha

I just started playing the bass after owning the guitar for a number of years. The strings were old and needed to be replaced and a string winder was recommended to make things easier. The winder worked very well, but the string cutter really impressed me. It doesn't struggle at all, even with the thick E string. Very impressed with the quality and ease of use and very pleased with the item.

Likes: Good quality with heavy plastic construction. Good cutter cut all the strings with no effort. No problem with screw coming loose and in fact the screw allows for adjusting the tension of the tuner to make it easier to use. Dislikes: A little more expensive than most (but worth the extra dollar for the good cutter); Overly large winder end is very loose over the tuners and can slip to the side and hit other tuners or the neck as it is being turned. I inserted some rubber pieces in each side of the winder, and it holds it steadier. This is common to winders made for multiple instruments. OK for all sizes, perfect for none. Overall, a good purchase and made the replacement of the strings on my acoustic guitar much easier than the cheap one I used to have. The old one would not cut the strings.

It looks cheaply made but obviously its not. I have 9 guitars, 1 bass guitar, and I've been using this for a year. I like it better than my dunlop winder, of course, because of the clippers. The peg puller works smoother then my Dunlop because it gets under the peg easier.

Seems well constructed for a $10 tool. Time will tell how long it will last. It seems the people complaining about it breaking while using may be cranking it too hard/fast causing it to break. Cutters even fit the lowest string on a five string bass. Winder fits well on both style of tuners I have.

As a string cutter and winder it works well. The reason for my 3 stars is this is labeled and sold as the bass model, but the pin puller does not fit acoustic bass guitar pins. It's acoustic guitar pin sized. The only difference between this and the guitar model is the fitted tuner cap is larger.

You can never have too many of these types of tools in your bag. The product works as it should

corta las cuerdas, muy bien.. no super comodo pero funcional. Es un poco pequeño. Pero el devanador no me sirve ya que mi "Fender Modern Player Strat HSH CT" tiene las cuerdas todas por un lado (Vintage style) y no me entra. ;(

普通に持っていたニッパーで元を切ろうとしたところ安物ニッパーでは刃がイカれそうになったためこちらを購入 力を要らなくても簡単に弦が切れたため、満足している。 また先が尖っていないためそのままケースの突っ込めるのはありがたい。また手持ちのニッパーにクレベルコンパクトなのもポイントが高い。 価格は安いが、必要十分なことができたため満足している
