Good kit for a 4th grader
This is a good kit for kids. I got this for my daughter for Christmas and she's been enjoying it so far. The only thing about this kit I was a little disappointed with was the camera eye piece. The view on the computer screen is definitely not as clear as using the regular eyepiece. As a result the camera eyepiece doesn't get used very much.

Not compatible with Chromebooks
We recently purchased this microscope package for my 10yo daughter. The product is nicely packaged, appears to be decently constructed, and has many samples to initially work with to get situated.The fundamental and critical flaw to this product is a basic one. As most of the microscopes in this price range are obviously purchased for school-age children, it is critical to make the product compatible with Chromebooks.Unfortunately, while Amscope makes them compatible with Windows and Mac OS systems, they are not able to be used with Chromebooks. This is a fundamental error by the company - they clearly have little understanding of who their actual market is.
