Oyster, my reaction
Rebecca Stott hits another ball out of the park, wonderful compelling, informative read. She is one of those authors I read everything she writes.

As a non-fiction author, it was Stott's job to communicate her knowledge, not falsehood.
In Stott's first two sentences she lost my trust. She proclaims oysters to be molluscs and explains that molluscs are animals that have no backbone and have an outer shell. She then explains that other molluscs include the octopus and squid. Many molluscs do not have external shells. If anyone needs more information on this front, a quick look at wikipedia can help. For Stott to discredit herself in her first two sentences is an embarrassing shame. A non-fiction author should know better. One must do their research and be specific. As a non-fiction author, it was Stott's job to communicate her knowledge, not falsehood. It disappoints me that this book was published.
