Does the job
I must admit I was a bit nervous about installing this product, but the boat I recently purchased had been beached a bunch of times and needed it badly. The keel was worn clear through the gel-coat. Didn't look good either. The instructions were clear and concise, and the enclosed video helped a lot. The hardest part was measuring and cleaning the hull. After that the installation was easy. My wife "bossed" that part of the job - she has a better eye for getting things straight, which is critical, because you can't take it off and straighten it after it's on. Although the instructions don't say so, I think it's critical to have two people do the final "stick-down". WARNING - get it right the first time, 'cause there won't be a 2nd time!A couple of days after the KeelGaurd was installed we took the boat to Lake Powell and tested it out. After a beaching it a couple of times, when we got the boat out of the water there weren't any visible scrapes. It's a tough product. Our boat sure looks better now too.

follow directions
We put this on ourselves in the spring 2021. We follow all the directions and it turned out fabulous and it is still on! We got white since that is what matched out hull. Also view the video that the manufacturer put out.

One person, Easily installed keel protection .If you have rocky beaches your boat will thank you in the long run.

Protect your investment
It is what it is. Easy to install, took a couple of hours with alot of hydrating😉. I also ran a bead of caulk around it to keep water off the glue and clean up the lines.. If you do alot of beaching on your boat. I think this is a must.

Follow Directions -- so far so good (1 month in water)
First, follow the directions. Read them first, get the hull cleaner locally. Don't rush. If the product is warm (in the sun for a few hours) it is easy to bend it to the ridges on your hull. (This is explained in the directions, do it their way.) Plan a few hours for this.Second, our boat is docked for the summer at a fresh water land, but sitting in water is a harsh environment. It's been a month and all is fine.
