It's a 2-for-1 steel bar that works as expected
I've been tasked with digging 32 post holes in a very rocky lawn and needed a way to break the rocks up into manageable pieces and/or displace the rocks so they can be removed. Both ends of this bar has wonderfully helped me with said task! Bar is pretty heavy (13 lbs), solid and long (5') which extremely helps in my case when I'm trying to break/displace rocks at 4' below ground level. It's a 2-for-1 steel bar that works and works well. No complaints.

Stop browsing and buy this one
Solid bar is well balanced and very effective. We used it to break limestone and pull up tree roots and it made the job easy. Great tool at a great price

Nice pry bar.
It's a good bar. Just was hoping it would be as little heavier and wider wedge end on it. But it will due. I use it for nudging heavy machine equipment around.

Rock Smasher
I purchased this to dig 54 post holes. I had already done about 30 without using a 2ft crow bar and endless hours, and my house is on a bed of rocks. Not little rocks but like 12-20 inch long monsters. This saved me so much time, i had way more pry distance as well as a sharp point i could smash against rocks. I weigh about 260lbs and just beat the hell out of this slate bar and the end still looks good, its not as sharp but it sure did the trick and 24 holes later and hundreds of rocks i cannot complain. I recommend this for anyone looking to break rock free inside a post hole. I was able to smash some rocks in 1/2 with this truly amazing. I paid something like $26 for this... after using it I cannot really put a price on it's quality to amazing!

Yes.
this thing gets the job done. I've used it to leverage super heavy things, sometimes jumping up and down personally on the bar for leverage. It will bend a little on landings but barely at all. It is super heavy too. The risen end is very useful for prying things up. The pointed end has its own uses. A very well made product. Thank you for this.

Breaking rocks in the hot sun . . .
My dad used to have a heavier bar that he used for digging and I thought it was something he made from scrap. I never knew what these were called but somehow came across this and the similar San Angelo bar when I was looking for something to dig out rocks from our production home lawn. This tool is essential for that job, but as others have noted, it is still hard work and using it makes a hot day seem a lot hotter!

Ice vs steel
I purchased based on a youtube video showing one of these smashing apart thick ice, and the real thing worked like a charm. I was able to clear multiple inches of thick ice & hard pack snow from my concrete patio with no damage. I have no doubt that it could do exactly the same job to slate or other glued down material. The only negative was some of the power coating came off, but that doesn't impact performance & I was using the product outside its intended purpose.
