solution to a problem
Having fitted a 12 inch rainfall shower head to my walk in shower I found it was only inches above my head so made me feel claustrophobic and very aware of it being there. Fitted this arm and the head is now well clear and makes showering a more enjoyable experience. looks totally different as well, does not protrude out as far as the one I replaced. Drops a star as the pipe is marginally wider than the standard arm and it would not fit through he hole in my tiles, and the surround that comes with he pipe only fits over the thread not the pipe as the hole is to small. As the arm passes through the wall the thread is not showing so I had to remove the rubber washer in the surround to enable it to slide over the arm.

The shower arm itself looks good and is easier to install than traditional arms due the leverage you can get with the shape. However, the shower flange that was advertised as included did not arrive with the shower arm. No biggie, I'll just use the old one - right? Nope. Because of the bend, this shower arm is thicker than standard so the extra flanges you have lying around won't fit! Make sure yours comes with the flange, because it will be difficult to replace due to the non-standard size. I contacted the sellers using Amazon chat today for support and will update this review if/when I hear back from them. Edit: The company was VERY responsive and sent a replacement flange right away. The flange is square, comes with a rubber support piece and looks very nice. Overall, a great product and a company who stands by their products!

Changed over our shower system to matte black. This extension gives a better overall “rain shower” from higher up. Matches perfectly with new shower system.

Good for raising the shower head so it doesnt hit the top of my head. Installed a bit tight but that is preferred to loose fit with tape. Its been 4months withiut a leak.
