WD Green SN350 NVMe SSD 2TB M.2

Was dubious about buying this having previously being ripped off by a Chinese fake SSD. So recherched the company before committing. Using as a storage for PC games on an Asus tuf 15 laptop. Easy to install and after a little time setting it up ( not computer savvy ) works great. Already put 150 Gb on and all seems genuine. Manufacturer says for light use hence using it to store games. Write speeds acceptable. Does what it says on the box. Recommended at this price.

I own about 6 NVMe sticks. Each had a different set of problems/incompatibilities . Some simply aren't recognised in some machines, others cause errors on OTHER NVMe when two are used (power drain?) some overheat. Some go to sleep and don't wake up properly . This one uses low power, runs cool and does not get error esp. with sleep/wakeup . I also happens to be faster than my other NVMe. It has way less chips in the board , so I suspect it's a newer generation

Not a super fast, but a good ssd for a desktop PC.

This item arrived in good time and has performed well , as expected.

Amazon asked me a few questions. Was it easy to install? That depends I guess if the maze of different connectors and specifications for M2 devices does or does not intimidate you. But is is no different to the other M2 devices in this aspect. Value for money is very subjective. I thought it was good value, I can get similar specs for lower prices but I like the trust of a good name and WD gave me a comfort I needed for this project. It did make me feel safer than some nameless product. Storage capacity appears to be more or less as quoted, after taking into account storage manufacturers insistence on inflating the actual size in a grandiose scheme to fool us all. Still it was worth all of the money I paid and I am happy. I would absolutely make the same choice in the future.

I bought the 2Tb version. This item does exactly what you would expect. I recently bought a bare bones PC so needed RAM and Storage. After much review and thinking I don't need a mega fast top end gaming SSD I plumped for this WD Green SSD. Very easy to fit, it just clips in to the interface at one end and then a retaining screw (provided with motherboard, not this product) holds the stick in place. A fresh build of Windows 11 was loaded and from pushing the start button I am in to my desktop within 10 seconds. I have recently installed MSFS and the read/write speed of this drive has no problem coping with the refresh rate of the game. Should I ever need another M.2 drive this is the one I will be going for again.
