Orchid Potting Mix Orchid Bark, Mix Pine Bark and Perlite, Good Drainage and Water Retention (2 Quart)

This potting soil was perfect for my orchids. It was just enough to repot 3 of my small orchids, and refresh their small pots. It had enough vermiculite to be sure they would retain moisture as needed. It was clean and looked like the right amount of mix, size, and was easy to use. I would recommend it.

I’m new to orchids. Have an orchid that I didn’t take care of well, somehow it didn’t die and I became devoted to reviving him. He’s about a year old and was root bound and in potting soil in the same pot I bought him in. This medium is exactly what orchids need. That being said it’s very very expensive for what it is. The smallest bag is very small and I feel like if you have more than one to repot you could easily make this yourself for much much cheaper. For me doesnr make sense as this is my only orchid, but if you have multiple do this. That being said it filled my whole new pot and so far my orchid is happy. I finally have a flower even. Four stars, because it’s great and works but just too expensive for what it is.

I couldn't find the usual bag of Orchid Bark that I use so I purchased Doter Orchid mix in the 1 quart bag. It is not enough to repot more than 2 4-5" pots but I actually love this stuff because of the pieces of bark that were in the bag were very small. I don't know if it will always arrive like that or if it was the bottom of the barrel so to speak but it was perfect for repotting a keiki and a mini orchard. The small chunks of bark are easier to settle around roots than the large chunks in a typical bag of bark.

States that it contains Perlite. It does, in microscopic amounts. My bag has an off-odor. This product is made in China. It does not say on the bag what it contains. Chunks are considerably larger than the pictures show.

It’s what I needed for my orchid. It’s not easy to find this type of product anywhere.

I was given an Orchid plant as a gift. One it stopped flowering the instructions said to cut stem and repot. I did exactly that and cut away any root rot. This mix was recommended on line so I tried it. Only been 3 weeks but so far it looks healthy. I see me roots starting to sprout

It is really tiny. I dont know if it is worth more than 70aed.

The bark is alright quality but was only enough to repot 3/4 of a pot for a medium sized orchid.
