It works
I was skeptical at first because of the price. The mechanic I work with uses a blue point set of these. I decided to not spend $$$ and instead went for $ and I must say so far it works all the same. 4 piston or 6 piston brakes from 90s bmws to a ford f350 with upgraded brakes. These things just work. The ratchet mechanism is a bit weird to get started but once it's ratcheting it doesn't miss a beat. I'd recommend this for any mechanic who's building their own tool box and skip spending that dough on a name brand. The build quality feels cheaper compared to the blue point but so far I've found it to be just as useful with no flaws yet. Love how it came with 2 hangers and a set of plates for the 6 piston brakes.

For the money is unbeatable
Dislike only when expanding before contact on both ends..it needs to be held at pivot pointPast that no compromises tryed on dual piston flawless

Slightly Better
Slightly better than using a “C” clamp and the old disc brake to compress the pistons. Ratchet is funky and doesn’t really work unless you have tension on the pads. Kind of cumbersome but over all it does what it’s supposed to do.

COULD BE MORE STOUT
FEELS A BIT FLIMSY, BUT WORKED AS DESCRIBED

Difficult ratchet motion when not in contact against brake pads
It is very difficult to create the ratchet motion to get it placed within the brake caliper against the brake pistons. The ratcheting mechanism does not work and it has to be held with a lot of force (in an already tight location) to get it opened up to fit in the caliper. The screw mechanism usually leaves it too loose and therefore as stated above, have to use the difficult ratchet mechanism to get it firmly in place.

Great! Little hard to engage.
Worked great but it's a little hard to engage. I figured out it needs pressure on both sides before it will actually ratchet or else it will just spin. Great tool though.
