Expensive cam, Expensive cloud subscription--Not impressed!
I thought I would like the size of these. I have used them and compared to Nest Cam. Battery seems to last fairly well when there is no motion. I did connect the power supply as I got tired of charging them once they were mounted. The power supply when connected is difficult to route, doesnt look good and doesnt stay well connected. All the mounting accessories are expensive and in my opinion limited. The cloud subscription is expensive too and even more expensive it you want continuous recording. The interface for my phone with the software and cloud is also not impressive! Geo-fencing and other adjustments are difficult to find/change and don't work! I have Nest Cams as well and they are much easier to install, use and store and access. The quality of the video on the Arlo's is better than other cams but definitely not worth the price due to the difficulty in accessing, storing etc. Compactness and battery powered is a plus. Im sticking with my nest cams!

Not worth the extra money over a pro 3. Motion detection is spotty at best and the battery….. 99% for anywhere between 2 days and 2 hours then straight to dead. Hook it up to power…. With it off, will charge pretty quick. But to run it so you don’t have to guess when the battery will die, it will be dead by morning.

Poor hardware quality, warranty and CS
Camera stopped working due to water leaking inside after only a few months. CS promised replacement. Then a month later I discover a message in Arlo app retracting the promise to replace the product because it has a 3 month hardware warranty. Instead CS offered a 30% discount on a new carema

The 4K feature was pretty cool, until it wasn’t. It stopped viewing in 4K and is now only showing 2K. I Dont Know…

Motion Detection failed
I purchase the arlo cameras and have had nothing but problems. The camera's lose connections and they are only 20 ft from the hub. The cameras are on the house and the hub is inside 20 ft from cameras. When you call support you have get on a ladder bring the camera's back into the house and resync with the base station. One camera failed motion detect after a week. Unless you buy direct from Arlo they will not fix the camera. Third party retailer will not help either. Not a good system very unreliable.UPDATE: Battery does not hold charge. Charge battery to 100 percent and within 8 hrs the battery went to 25 percent charge.

I was under the impression that this product had 3 months free to test out.😩

WORTHLESS - no motion detection in upper 1/3 !
I installed 2 cameras on the front of my house. No matter how I angle and adjust settings, it will not detect motion on the sidewalk or street. The top third of the screen is disallowed by software to detect motion. SO STUPID!My 5 year old Arlo Q doesn't have this limitation. I thought I would upgrade for better night vision and resolution, which are actually amazing, but totally useless if it never detects motion where you need it.DO NOT BUY unless you are okay with severely limited detection area.
