A nanotech basket that really works well, very cost effective!
Well made basket, excellent extraction flow characteristics, pucks never stick in the bottom. This is a winner!

Stand by it.
I have purchased 2 of these. A 20g and 18g dose. The 18 has lasted me 2 years and is still going strong. No noticeable wear on coating and have pulled a ton of espresso shots through my GCP. Worth it. Great water flow/dispersion as well. Designed well, easy to clean, almost no caking or sticking. Fits well, easy to changed out.

Work Great in My Espresso Shop
I use these professionally in my coffee shop. they pull nice and consistent, and the NanoTech finish gives a nice clean release on the pucks, which helps minimize cleaning. They are much more expensive than many generic/OEM options, but I feel they are worth it for my situation.

"Espresso Rain" is overrated.
Hey guys - usually don't bother writing reviews, but thought I would share this experience. I consider myself pretty well set on the overall espresso process. I use a very reliable Gaggia Classic Pro, manually set to about 9.5 bars of pressure. Using the run-of-the-mill, ridged Gaggia bottomless basket with the stock naked portafilter, and have had no issues with either one. I use high-quality, medium roast fresh beans which have been rested anywhere from 10 to 15 days. My sweet spot has kind of settled on 18g IN (bottomless basket is a 'double') and 60ml OUT in 26 - 28 seconds. Slight variability in grind dial between different roaster products, and as beans further age. Pretty satisfied with the current process. Good, thick, lasting crema throughout the shot, and not bitter but smooth. So - in an effort to continue to raise the game, I tried this basket and bought into the 'espresso rain' hype. Sorry to say that 1 star is as high as I go. It was extremely hard to dial this in.... I use the J-Max hand grinder from 1ZPresso, a very solid non-electric grinder. Once I was at 12 clicks finer than I am accustomed to, this basket was still spitting out a shot of 60ml in 21 seconds. One more click finer, and I was at 60ml in 32 seconds. Nothing in between. The shots start out very slow, overly dark, and then once the machine builds to constant pressure, the basket just "lets loose" the espresso. VERY messy, splashy, and sloppy, regardless of grind setting. This is not only not a smoothly delivered, single-stream extraction, it is also not even close to "espresso rain". This is an espresso thunderstorm. Weak, thin, overly blonde crema, and very bitter taste, and coffee everywhere you don't want it to be. Sadly, I find LESS THAN ZERO added value to my process with this basket, and will be returning it today. The pursuit is still on, but we won't be getting rained on any further here at the house. :) WK

Works Great.
Works great. Used coffee grinds easy to tap out in one go.

Great extraction, not magnetic
Great basket, has consistently given my a good crema and even extraction. My biggest grip is that it is not magnetic so I cannot use it with my grounds funnel

Note this is an italian 18g, if you're using it for "third wave" coffee it's really a 20g basket
As most others using this product the first time I hit an initial learning curve but I figured it out for my purposes. While the product says 18 gram basket I realized that's more 18g of a dark roasted coffee bean, the now more popular lighter/medium roasts with various origins I've found to be closer to 20g, sometimes 21g for the basket to be properly filled, I'd get a channeling issue as there was too much room in the basket for expansion with 18g. The rest of the product works as expected, fits fine with my 58.5 mm tamper, 58.5 mm puck screen, I use a profitec bottomless portafilter that it fits perfectly into. Yes it's ridgeless which was my initial purpose for buying it as I was tired of my coffee finding its way in the ridges, but because of that you do need a knock box with a bar. overall I find the product to work as desired. Notes: I use a profitec 500 with a niche zero grinder
