Excellent beginner's book!! Has so many types of Lettering and Calligraphy styles to learn. Many print out pages you can practice on. You learn so much from recognizing style to line thickness. With practice you are able to make your own unique style of Lettering and art. Love it❤️

Four stars only because it is bound very tightly so it makes it hard to practice without having to actually tear the pages out of the book. If it were in a binder I feel like it would be easier to practice in.

Not the book I hoped for. I rated it three stars, generously, because it did provide a nice collection of calligraphic fonts from which to choose -- a good, albeit limited reference -- (no Blackletter though). The text matter, however, is awkwardly worded, suspect of auto machine-produced (AI generated?) copy. In some spots it just didn't read naturally. I also question the paper quality for use with fountain or dip pen. It's more like a pencil tablet weight and quality. It's probably sufficient for ballpoint. But the crux of my disappointment was the typos. Not even spellcheck can fix errors such as this one on page 22 (see attached photo).

I'd suggest purchasing grid paper with it for practicing. There aren't a lot in the book too practice on and it takes a lot of repetitiveness
