Surprising Performance at This Price Point
While using a wet saw to cut mosaic tiles for a bathroom floor, we discovered that the water from the saw loosened the glue that holds the mosaics to their mesh backing. Some would come off, and the mesh - rather than remaining somewhat rigid - became pliable to the point where the tiles that did stay attached did not keep their proper spacing. It was a nightmare. So, we bought a score and snap tile cutter (after watching a video of the device being used to effortlessly and beautifully cut porcelain mosaic tiles) and discovered that the tiles we're using are too hard for such a cutter.Enter this blade. Attached to a sliding miter saw with good dust collection, this blade made quick and accurate work of dozens upon dozens of straight cuts. The cuts were clean when we started and clean when we finished. We started each cut moving the blade from back to front, just scoring the surface of the porcelain. Then we cut a little deeper in the same direction, and finished with a third pass from front to rear. This sounds like a lot of extra motion, but it worked out to a little over a minute for each sheet of tiles. The result was sharp edges with virtually no chipping. This blade is also set up like the ultra thin cutting blades we use for woodworking. The outer half of the blade (at the rim) is quite thin, removes (wastes) less material than a standard blade, provides less resistance when cutting, and has a thicker body at the center of the blade that keeps everything stiff and pretty wobble free. At the end of the job, the cutting surfaces on either side of the rim appear minimally worn. I suspect it could handle two or more similar jobs. One important heads-up. I forgot to turn on the dust collection a couple of times. Turns out dry cutting porcelain tile makes a spray of fine particles and plumes of dust. If you don't use effective dust collection, you will have quite a mess to clean up and porcelain dust in your nose, mouth, and lungs. A doctor would probably advise against the latter. What a pleasant surprise to get such a good blade at such a reasonable cost. Good on the manufacturer.Jim

Good blade for porcelain, just did a bunch of large format on a large walk in shower
I originally mounted this blade to a rigid 7 sliding tile saw, and got a horrible cut and vibration. Ordered pearl p4 but decided to give this another shot figuring i didn't have it seated right, so remounted, aligned my saw to the table, and it works good with good life. Just finished a large format porcelain shower on the same blade and very satisfied, no problems, now i'm not going to say i got 100% perfect cuts , there was very slight chipping but it was minor and white marble look tile, i mount a diamond pad to my low rpm rotary polisher and the edge cleans up quick and easy in a pass or 2.It doesn't deflect like thin blades do, but if you have a crappy wet tile saw like mine be sure to clamp your tile it because it will push your tiles around especially if you don't have a rubber pad on the table. Ended up ordering another for the hand held wet saw i have and another fpor the grinder (which has a p4 on it atm too and i have to clean up that edge also).

very thin
good for cutting w/grinder, too thin for small wet saws that have post holding cover over blade, blade not wide enough for cut tile to pass by w/o difficulties. very smooth cutting!

I used this one and it did great. I was cutting 2" tiles set on a ...
I'm not much for writing reviews, but I always read them. But this time I decided to put my thoughts to "paper." I was looking for a new blade for my wet saw to do a tile backsplash using ceramic tiles. Every blade I looked at said it the blade chipped or something. Well, I used this one and it did great. I was cutting 2" tiles set on a web backing and anytime I needed a cut had to take the tile/tiles that I needed loose. So I was always cutting relatively small tiles. This blade did a really good job. The only time I had an issue was if I pushed the cut too fast - this was especially true as I was at the final edge getting ready to cut through the final edge of the tile. Sometimes it would break off/chip the very top corner. Probably my issue as much as the blade, but I never lost a single tile to a bad cut. Don't be concerned with buying this blade for your tile work!

Does the job well
Bought this blade for wet saw to cut ceramic tile for bathtub surround. Did the job well with no chips in the tile. Seems as sharp at the end of the project as the beginning. Good value for the money.
