CLOVER 3101 Wonder Knitter Pink, 8.8" Height x 5" Length x 1.8" Width

I tried another, fancier one from another brand, but it had the latch hook style and the latches didn't properly open and close. So I tried again, with the Clover one. I thought it was going to be the same style, but it wasn't. It's more similar to a loom knitter in the round. It's less "automated" but it works exactly like it's supposed to and it's easy to use. I will say that any icord maker is going to be kind of a one trick pony, but that isn't a problem, for the price. It does its job, and does it well. The only problem I have with it is that the hook doesn't stay in its place when not in use, so it keeps falling out and I have to keep looking for it. In addition to fixing that issue, I do wish it had a third, smaller disc for working with crochet string or twine.

I had a wooden spool knitter when I was a child. This product was fun. However it lacked instruction on applying beads as indicated on the description. Makes a very nice braided chain and flowers. I found a blog that had wonderful adaptations for making flowers and animals. Would be good to get a little girl started on knitting creative easy projects. Goes fast and not that difficult once you get the hang of doing it. K

You just can't go wrong with the quality of Clover craft products. This did not disappoint! I do wish they had more sizes for different projects.

Love this item! Easy to use, portable, fits in your hand. I needed this item to create a cord for my shorts.

I ordered this item for my granddaughter who loves projects. I remember making one as a child myself many years ago with the empty spool from thread! I want her to have some of these memories and fun creations.

This is really a great knitting spool. I needed a larger cord than the 4 peg knitters and the yellow 6 pin topper using double strands of LB Fishermen's Wool does just that. Whoever designed this did an amazing job! The top really does spin and there are perfectly placed indents for your thumb to hold the top in place to hook over your stitch. What I was happy (and surprised) to see were "grooved" plastic pins just like the ones on KB looms to guide your pick! I'm using an actual metal loom hook instead of the plastic one from Clover but that's a personal choice, and Clover has provided a plastic hook. There is also a "yarn tension" that works, saving my forefinger from unnecessary elevation, lol. Very happy with my purchase.... give it a chance if you're on the fence about buying it.

But no, you have to do it one by one by... don't remember how I was supposed to use it now. It didn't feel natural or easy. Returned it.

I got this for my 6 year old as she showed an interest in wanting to knit something like her granma . She's too young motor skill wise for knitting so I thought I'd give this a try. Figured if it was too hard for her she could try next year. I looked up a quick YouTube tutorial and figured it out myself then showed her. She was doing it within minutes and wanted to be independent with it. This is from a girl that gave up on the latch rugs and bead animal kits as she found those too finicky/ frustrating. This device is way way way easier than typical loom knitting or french knitters as has the auto turn mechanism which makes it so much easier for those still developing motor skills. Also has very fast results so is satisfying for kids so they don't give up. Great little device.

Quedan un poquito más flojos que si los tejes con agujas, pero el proceso es más rápido y puedes hacerlo sin poner mucha atención, por ejemplo viendo televisión. Los niños también pueden aprender fácilmente a usar este aparato. Dependiendo del grueso del estambre o lana utilizado cambia la apariencia del cordón. Me pareció una buena compra, sí lo recomiendo.
