Respect and love
Sophie and Holden gel so well together. Their time together is so well spent, getting to know each other, laughing together, and having fun.Holden takes time to find his own self and realise what he really wants in life. Sophie comes out of the shadow of her marriage debacle as she blossoms with Holden.I liked the way Holden and Sophie both realise what they want and what they feel. It's beautiful how Holden finally decides to come back home.Great story with strong characters and fun.

So good!
This was a perfect start to this new series! Every character was likeable and I absolutely loved the chemistry between Sophie & Holden! They had an amazing relationship and I loved how well they knew each other it made it so much easier for me to connect with both of them. But I felt like the book was short and there could've been more moments where Holden & Sophie could've been thrown together to pretend about their marriage tbh. Still I enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait to continue the series!

The queen of small town romances delivers another sexy and steamy treat!
You know who does small town romances well? Adriana Locke. And with this new series, you know you’re in for a big treat! And when combined with some of the best tropes, Like You Love Me is everything that you could ever ask for.Sophie and Holden grew up together every summer. With his grandfather living in Honey Creek, Holden would visit the town every year and he and Sophie would spend their time together. They shared their first kiss, they explored parts of town and discovered parts of their friendship together. But like always, you grow up and life changes and they don’t see each other for a few years. Now as adults, Sophie and Holden are brought back together in the most adorable way possible. She’s grown up to be beautiful, sassy and too much for Holden, while he’s gotten hot, sexy and distracting for Sophie. So you can only imagine what they believe is the right thing to do - get married. For a reason, obviously. They both need the help and assistance to make something happen and they both can offer something the other wants to make their lives a little easier. So why not get married? It’s a marriage of convenience, of course. One only Sophie’s sister knows about, but one that has many benefits. They make a deal too, no kissing, touching or sex, because this not a real marriage. It’s one to get what they want and none of those things are happening in the bedroom. But when you’re two people who’ve had these secret feelings for each other for so long, there’s only so much a deal and a fake marriage can hide.Sophie and Holden. Holden and Sophie. Gosh, the chemistry is insane. I love their friendship, obviously, but that’s what really ignites the relationship too. They are just so great together and so much fun. The banter, the sass, the constant support to make sure the other is okay. And I love how unintentionally they fall into this husband-wife pattern of cooking and looking out for each other. But that obviously comes from years of being friends. But outside of the two of them, their relationships with other members of their families and people in town is just perfect. Sophie’s got a great relationship with her two siblings, while Holden and his grandfather have an incredible bond. And these are the people that give the two leads the strength to realise that what they have is not just fake. It’s real as real can be and it’s what they’ve both been waiting for.And let’s not forget the steam. If every book had kitchen counter sex, I would die happy. Holden and Sophie’s physical relationship warms you up just as much as their emotional connection. From their fake wedding to the first time they kiss as adults and all the steam they build between the two of them - it’s explosive! Did I wish there was more steam? Most definitely, because I love the way Adriana writes her sex scenes, but what we got was perfect and absolutely delicious.I am so excited for the rest of the books in the Honey Creek series, because these characters completely have my heart. Thanks to Adriana Locke, Social Butterfly PR, NetGalley and Montlake for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

all the cute, swoony and sweet feelings
Adriana Locke brings all the cute, swoony and sweet feelings in this second- chance and small town romance, Like You Love Me. Butterflies in stomach. Smile on my face. This story was the definition of feel good romance.Holden and Sophie became summer best friends when he used to spend the vacation in Honey Creek, the small town where his grandfather has a running veterinary clinic. They didn't get the chance to become more as Holden became busy with his career. Now he has come back to the town after some professional and personal setbacks. They reconnect and old camaraderie is back. Now a strange situation has arisen. Holden needs to show that he is committed to marriage to bag his lifelong dream job. And Sophie needs financial help desperately to save her family bed&breakfast. Deal is deal. But they didn't consider the emotions. It's a very simple story narrated beautifully. Holden spent his life trying to live up to his father's expectations. And he is weary of human connection. Sophie, for the first time, made him feel open and relaxed and wholesome happy. She has been betrayed and hurt in past relationships. But Holden pushed away her scepticism and insecurity. And made her feel truly loved and cherished even though it all started with a fake marriage. I love them individually and then together. They both are exceptional people with so much positivity. Their relationship is based on a solid friendship. On trust, respect and care. They did have different futures in their head and it was a great internal battle but they soon realised love is the greatest asset. Swoon and sighs all over! The colourful characters of Honey Creek accompanied me in this journey and I am so excited for their stories.Adriana Locke captured the simple, relaxing and very intimate qualities of small town romance in Like You Love Me perfectly. This is that kind of adorable story where I can lose myself within the pages and leave behind all my worries and stress. And then come out on the other side with a refreshed mind.I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

OMG, The FEELS Got Me!!!
*sigh* Like You Love Me, the first book in Adriana Locke's Honey Creek series, kicked off with a bang with Holden and Sophie's story. And what a story it is!!! I fell completely in love with both of these characters and all the characters in this small town!Sophie agrees to childhood bestie Holden's idea to get "married" (for real, but temporarily) to help them both out. Sophie needs money to save the B&B she inherited from her Gran and Holden needs a wife to prove to a prospective employer that he's "stable". Perfect solution, right? Uhmmmmm, WRONG! When their attraction to one another boils over and they give in to the INTENSE chemistry between them, all bets are off...and the FEELS start! And OMG, the feels got me! I loved how Sophie was the first to realize how she felt and boy did I FEEL her emotions....every single one of them! Holden is one of my fave characters (that isn't a possessive Alpha-hole), he's just sooooooo sweet and kind....and did I mention, HAWT??!!Ms. Locke has this knack of twisting my heart up but ALWAYS gives me the HEA my heart yearns for! Like You Love Me is no exception. It's the PERFECT book to curl up with and get lost in for a day or so! Small-town, fake-marriage romance at it's BEST! I can't wait to read the other stories I know are coming from Honey Creek!

Small-town Charm and All the Feels
With small-town charm and charmingly quirky characters this friends to lovėrs marriage of convenience romance is like sitting on a blanket out under the stars on a warm summer night as fireflies dance about. The best of feels, the sweetest heart squeezes and the happiest sighs are what you’ll find here.Throughout his childhood, Holden McKenzie spent every summer with his Paps in small-town Tennessee. Now that he's become a veterinarian he's back in Honey Creek to help with his grandfather's vet clinic for a few weeks. Holden's ultimate goal is to land his dream jòb at a world-renowned practice in Florida, but to convince them he's a stable, committed candidate he'll need a wife. When Holden reconnects with Sophie Bates, his best friend from all those long-forgotten summers, they click like no time at all has passed, and a plan begins to take shape in Holden's mind. She needs some help with the B&B her grandma left her, and maybe they can work out an arrangement that will be mutually beneficial. A strictly business arrangement, of course.Low on angst, heavy on heart, and just enough spıce to keep things interesting, this story is everything a small-town romance should be. With themes of family, community, home and belonging, this heart-warming, toųching story will captivate and sweep you away. This one is a winner in every sense, and your romantic heart will thank you for spending time in Honey Creek with this delightful, moving, phenomenal romance.

This book really melted my heart.
I loved this story from Adriana Locke. Childhood friends coming together for mutual conveinience but finding real love and belonging. It starts out as a buisness deal and turns into so much more. Sophie and Holdens story is beautuful. It gave me some good laughs and transported me to that small town that feels like the right place to be.

Loved it
Oh my goodness! I absolutely adored Holden and Sophie! You will not want to put their story down. It's the perfect small town feel good friends to lovers story/marriage of convenience story.Childhood friends Holden and Sophie haven't seen each for several years until Holden returns to Honey Creek to help his Pap, the town vet out, it's just a passing visit for Holden though as he is waiting on a call that he hopes will map out his future. After her Grandma passes Sophie took over the running of Honey Creek B&B, Honey Creek is home for Sophie it's where her Sister and Brother live, it's the only place she has ever wanted to live but the B&B is struggling she needs an injection of cash quickly if she is going to save it.Holden needs to impress his potential new employers, they are all about family which of course leads him to say he's married! So who does he turn to but his childhood bff, I mean they only need to convince his potential new boss and then they can go their separate ways. Sounds like a good plan, right?Another amazing story from one of my favourite authors! It was perfection!
