Helly-Hansen Womens Aden Waterproof Breathable Hooded Long Rain Jacket

I absolutely love this jacket! The breathable, waterproof fabric is soft to the touch and not crinkly, crackly. Workmanship is very nice. The cut is flattering and not too boxy. It is soft enough and pretty enough to wear as an all weather jacket and does not look like a typical rain jacket...nothing rubbery or plastic. Because comments with height and weight are much more helpful when I'm looking at reviews I'll share that I am 5'4", 135 pounds. I usually wear a medium top, but sometimes large depending on the cut, size 6 pants. It took a bit to figure out, first ordering in both medium and large to see what fit best, because of comments saying it runs a bit small for USA sizing, and though the medium was wearable it felt a bit snug across the shoulders and bust. I like my outer layer to be looser so I kept the large and it fits perfectly with some room for layering. The length is great for my height, longer than a regular jacket, more like a parka length or fingertip length. I could not be happier. I can't speak to the functionality yet since I have not worn it, or tried it out in the rain, but will update this post when I do.

This jacket delivers exactly what it said it would. I got a small even though I have pretty wide shoulders for a woman, and I can still comfortably wear long sleeve shirt and a fleece jacket underneath this coat. Plus, it looks super stylish because it's not too fitted or too loose. The length hits right at my mid-thigh, so it looks cute with high knee rain boots. I received compliments the first day that I wore it. Also, the fabric feels like cotton/poly but it is so much more. If you want a raincoat that does not feel or smell like those plastic coats, then this is the one. It feels like a high-quality coat but keeps you dry and warm from the wind and rain.

I love this coat! I can comfortably wear a lightweight sweater under it. I'm 5'4" 110lbs. I ordered the small.

Excellent water resistance. I have tried several top name-brand raincoats, that were not waterproof and, in fact, more like wearing a wind breaker in a downpour. The quality on this jacket is top notch. A quiet, soft material that has kept me dry working outside through strong storms on a family farm. Don't hesitate to buy.

I finally was able to buy a Helly Hansen waterproof raincoat because the price was unbelievable - $90 , a real buy! Even better than when I've looked at sales in their store in Newport, RI. This coat is gorgeous. The fabric is soft and smooth and the sleeve length is perfect for my 5'3" frame. Right now I weigh 158, so went with the XL as recommended. It fits in a nicely tailored way and has plenty of room for a puffer vest underneath - I made sure to try it on w one of my vests. Plenty of room in the armpits with and without the extra layer. On me, the length comes to just above my knees - and I'm very happy that it does. The chest pocket on the inner left is great for the phone. The zipper is the high quality you would expect from HH and the snaps seem sturdy and secure. The hood is attached and rolls in under the collar ( but there is no snap or velcro to keep it closed, my only minus). The collar has a soft lining against the skin. The overall weight seems perfect for Spring, Fall and even summer ( if not too hot out). I'm looking forward to wearing this coat and not worrying about getting wet. It would have been perfect for my recent trip to Santa Fe,NM where we had rain, hale, snow and wind for several days. I haven't tried rolling it up to see how packable it is for traveling, but that's not crucial. If you've been after snagging a HH raincoat, grab this!

This jacket functioned well as a windproof, waterproof shell over 3 layers during recent winter trip to Scotland. Admittedly, it didn't have to face any wild rainstorm or blizzard. I am 5'8", medium weight, ordered a Large. It is slimline, flattering, perfect body & arm length & armhole width. You could fit a chunky sweater under this. The material is lightweight, supple, matte & non-noisy. The hood & collar area fit perfectly. Hood rolls under well but does not look too 'bumpy' worn unrolled beneath long hair. Was looking for a 3 in1, but didn't want to pay the price so did it myself, wearing Uniqlo ultra light down underneath. This is my 2nd Helly Hansen via Amazon, needed smaller size this year as lost weight. Now am seeing more people wearing Helly Hansen - price point? fashionable again?

I'm, 5'7" and a little curvy. I purchased this lightly lined shell, oversized to accommodate layers and handle rain and cold in urban Seattle over Christmas. On me, it hits mid-thigh, so my butt stays dry. I live in CA, so I needed it to be adaptable to milder conditions (45-50) as well. When we got to Seattle on Christmas Eve day, it was raining and cold -- about 40 degrees. The coat was cozy -- completely water- and wind proof. Overnight it snowed and the temps dropped to between 20-25. We had an authentic white Christmas! I layered it up with fleece-lined water resistant leggings, polypro base layer top, HH Polartec fleece pullover, Bean's Polartec vest, Polartec hat, scarf and gloves. The weather remained snowy, icy, cold and windy until we left on the 29th. I remained warm, dry and happy as a clam for the duration! Back home I'm wearing it 'around town' as a casual shell over lighter winter clothes. It's perfect.

Arrived quickly and the coat itself is of a high quality. Is a little on the small side, so if unsure size up. Very flattering style and I can't wait to test it in the rain.

Aún no he podido usarla en lluvia pero la calidad de la tela se siente excelente. Pedí la talla S y creo que está un poquito grande, pero está bien. El paquete llegó super rápido.
