Fitwaffle’s Baking It Easy (Kindle version)
Since I had a bit of an accident I had lost my confidence (pretty much all of it) and my ability to concentrate on even the simplest of tasks was a struggle. I saw this book in amongst the Kindle Monthly Deals in August 2024, and I had never seen this one before.I’m so glad that I had downloaded the Kindle sample because of the fact that Eloise was only using 3-5 ingredients per recipe and their simplicity was an eye-opener for me. I have always wanted to be able to go back to baking, but most of the rest of my baking books were (now, mostly) too overwhelming for me to even make an attempt on.This book has so many great recipes and ideas that I’m thinking about trying to make; and I’m hoping that not only will I be able to concentrate on, but also be able to get through the pain barrier as well. I have to start somewhere, and this book is a great start!!

Brilliant easy to follow minimal ingredient recipes
Never heard of Fitwaffle before but I think this came up as a recommended book on Amazon, so I had a look. It was half price when I bought it and is well worth the money. The cooking tips (equipment to use, most-used ingredients, and the how to guides) are useful. The recipes are simple to follow. Some are no-bake recipes, others need a bit of baking. There are no lists of calories, etc. but to be honest you wouldn't be baking 99% of the recipes in the book if you were on a diet anyway!Already tried the 'Cookies and Cream Magic Bars' which was a 4-ingredient recipe with a bit of time in the oven. I initially thought I don't it wrong as my result after the allotted time didn't look anything like the description in the book but once it had cooled down it was amazing. Also did the Chocolate Malt Ball Rocky Road which again was a 4-ingredient recipe but then a bit of time in the fridge. They could be stored for up to 4 days in an airtight container. Ours lasted just over a day!Another plus to the recipes is their simplicity. Not only does this mean that children can get involved, all the ingredients are easy to come by and as well as there being suggested swaps for certain ingredients (white chocolate instead of milk chocolate for example), you can also experiment yourself without fear of ruining the end result - unless of course you have no clue what you're doing and attempt to use sprouts instead of Maltesers for example, in which case you should never be allowed in a kitchen ever again. All in all, a great recipe book.

Lovely book
Nice book with some delicious and simple recipes that anyone could make even either little experience. My only issue is that the variety of ingredients used is lower than I'd like a lot of repeat bakes with the same few ingredients e.g. Nutella, biscoff spread, etc. But if you're creative you can replace any of the ingredients with your preferences in most of the recipes which brings my rating back to a respectable 4/5, would recommend following Eloise's Instagram accounts as well for more great recipes!

Super fun easy baking! My new favourite.
The media could not be loaded. My best kitchen investment! I like to give baking a go because it relaxes me and this book is perfect for that. In my opinion, this book is made for people that might not be confident cooking fancy bakes, it also has so many pictures, as I show.I’ve waited a while to review, as I wanted to see if the recipes are as good as on the bakers social media. They are great! Even more simple than those she posts online. I got the book on release day and have done about 13-14 recipes from the book. They were all tasty, my presentation is not as good as hers, but they still turn out looking good!My favourites are the lemon slices and the hazelnut brownie bites. Personally, I’m not a fan of peanut butter, but there is only couple of recipes that use peanut butter.Overall, it’s my favourite dessert book. It suits my skill level, it has a picture of everything in it. I imagine it’s child friendly, as it has some recipes that don’t need baking, and I don’t need to watch a video over and over again to know the recipe!Excellent book.
