I was using this device on an iPhone 15 to allow connection for a wireless microphone and also to record to an external hard drive. Worked great for that. Other items would not do both of these things. One was to charge the phone and use the microphone, but would not connect to an external hard drive for recording.

I have this expander coming out of my OWC Thunderbolt expansion unit. Connects to a keyboard, camera, external hard drives, and USB reader. Works reliably and does it job. Great!

Seems to do fine powering my devices, but very very slow when it comes to charging a device.

Bought this Basesailor USB C Male to Four USB Female Cable Adapter to replace a much more expensive hard plastic style adapter because the adapter broke out of it when it was bumped. Was thrilled to find this Basesailor USB C Male to Four USB Female Cable Adapter that is made with flexible cords. It's much more user friendly that the plastic one. I have a keyboard, laptop, mouse, and 2 external monitors hooked up to it and everything is working beautifully. There is 1 USB port still free for use when charging other items. Just love it and am very glad I purchased this adapter.

UPDATE 2: I gave this another shot, but after a week of regular use without any movement/travel/strain it has failed again. Connected to a USB-C port on my Macbook Pro, it disconnects my backup hard drive as well as my phone and wacom tablet, rendering this not only useless, but is costing me money and taking me away from getting work done. Not happy. Do not bother with this thing.UPDATE: bumping this up to 4 stars for now, since the seller got back to me and handled the situation so I could get a new one and try again. Assuming this lasts for longer than 5 months this time around, I'll keep this at 4 stars and revisit this review if it fails again. It's a great product in theory, but I'm still hesitant about its reliability.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This *was* a perfect solution for me with my Macbook Pro and the need for USB 2.0 accessories like my Wacom tablet and standard phone charger, which don't need the extra speed of USBC. I'm able to use a single USBC port in my laptop and attach all of those 2.0 accessories without using up valuable ports and without a big hub block sitting on my desk. It leaves the two remains USB-C ports for my external SSD that I use for After Effects caching and my 4k monitor connection.The problem is that the "perfect" solution just failed on me after 5 months of use. It sits in the same place every day, doesn't get moved, transported, or even plugged/unplugged. It just failed. No more signal, no more charging.I don't often leave negative reviews, but this is a huge inconvenience and disappointment. Seems like a fluke based on other reviews, but I feel like it's necessary to share disappointing experiences like this.

Ideaal ding voor 4 USB's. Werkt perfect. Goede prijs-kwaliteit. Had er nog wel een reguliere USB uitgang bij gewild om in de computer in te kunnen pluggen, is nu een smalle waar ik een extra tussenstuk voor moet aanschaffen.
