Can't Believe It
This began with a lot of promise but then it's drifted into the realms of being too farfetched to be believable for me so I've given up on it at 37%. When I reached this point she was telling her EIGHT year old son that she'd just been shot with a couple of darts and been injected with something by some stranger in the woods, who then took her dog......she'd have to be some sort of unfit mother to do this !! It's ridiculous. I don't have an eight year old but I am pretty sure you'd not be in any rush to tell him something like this !!It's not without mistakes, either. Sack written and not sac then ear shot not earshot. Then she still does THAT thing some American writers persist in doing where they leave off the word you, and for example, write, "You bring the card with ?" She also wrote "As well as could be" when I believe she means as well as could be expected, which has a totally different interpretation. As with another book of hers I read there are words dropped from sentences as well, like to or in.Another strange thing was a mother writing about life with her son where she suddenly said his name again....it wasn't needed: "......it gave Kevin and I a chance to really talk. When he wasn't at school, he usually hung out with his friends, played baseball, or watched television. As for me, when I wasn't feeding him, or chauffeuring Kevin around......" Really quite a peculiar thing to do. Someone in this inherits around $300,000 but then decides that she was going to have a garage sale as "A little extra cash wouldn't hurt, either." Clearly she didn't inherit enough !!The child featured in this, Kevin, was a horrid little beast. All he did was complain and grumble at everything he was ever told or asked to do. He needed a short, sharp slap !! It got tiresome being around him.The cover is a lovely one but sadly I couldn't finish it because I stopped believing in it.

A good read!
I always enjoy a story where there's a child and an animal.Storyline itself was very good and couldn't work out for a good while who the baddies were and as it happened i didn't expect the outcome..so definitely suspenseful.Thankfully not too many swear words although none at all would be even better...just an observation.

"Forgettable"
After a slow start, this one turned into a romantic suspense. Apart from the stalker, I could have slipped into the Hallmark channel in error. As for Amanda, her character straight up annoyed me. Not for me, I'm afraid.

Twisted Terror
A book that has an exciting story which starts with a bang as a legacy brings danger and fear. Amanda's ex husband has died and left her his property near her mother's home. She and her son, Kevin, arrive there and the nightmare begins. Well crafted characters who provide several suspects and turn this into a terrifying tale.
