Cavallini Roma Lussa Journals Black 6 x 8, 416 Softbound Leather

I love these journals and have purchased one of every color over the years. A little heavy if you are the type to carry your journals around with you all the time, but I usually write at home and these feel very luxurious. I’m always scared they will stop making them and tempted to buy extras, but the only downside for me is that they are pricy.

Journal was beautiful. The leather was nice and the marbled edges were lovely. It was just what I wanted for a retirement gift for an artist friend who now has plans to travel. Blank pages offer him the possibility to sketch as well as note his travels.My only criticism would be that, for the cost, it would have been nice to have the journal boxed. This would have made a more impressive presentation as well as facilitate gift wrapping. It was merely covered with a cellophane wrapping which I thought cheapened the look of a quality product.

I tend to buy journals and never write in them. This one demands to be written in. Like other reviewers have stated, you have to lay it flat in order to get toward the center edges and sometimes that is annoying, but the marbled edges and soft leather make writing an enjoyable experience. Buy a Lamy safari fountain pen and you have a match made in heaven!

Excellent quality, bound leather with thick pages. I got the 6 x 8 which is a great size. Make sure to check for different versions on Amazon. The black leather I purchased was $25 cheaper than the brown leather 6 x 8. There were a lot of listings for the different sizes and colors and quite the variation in pricing.

I've been using this journal to write letters to my son during my pregnancy and since his birth. The paper and leather quality are really good, and I like the coloring on the ends of the pages. I'm really happy with this purchase!

Purchased this journal and received a complete different fake leather 200 pg journal instead that you can get at staples.

Pricey, but very high quality cover and paper. Great for drawing, pencil crayons and fountain pens. A delight to use.
