Cast Iron, heavy-duty, jaw faces grip really well. Great for holding small parts while using grinding wheel, no having to stop work if parts heat up. A little stiff operating but expect it to looen up a little with use as the paint at the base joint wears. Still functions as it should, would buy again

I’m really liking these clamps! Their grip is great for holding some really small objects while drilling holes or grinding. You’ll feel so much safer and in control. They’re VERY durable and built to last. Only drawback is they are a littLe on the heavy side but to get this great quality you have to take the good with the bad and not have to buy twice.

The vise works quite well, it will hold small to medium sized parts for hand filing or grinding. It is larger than I expected but still workable. The exterior finish is "as cast" with a heavy paint job to cover imperfections. This doesn't detract from its usefulness.
