I love this pen. It has a real feel of quality about it and is lovely to write with. It is made from metal, rather than plastic, giving it a more sophisticated and durable feel and look, but still feels lightweight enough to be comfortable writing for extended periods of time. The nib produces very fine writing, perfect for if your handwriting is small, otherwise I would go for the medium nib. The ink flows beautifully and doesn't splurt or splodge out. The ink also dries very quickly - almost as soon as it goes onto the paper. In fact, I purposely tried to smudge it and had to be very quick. A very high quality pen.

The pen is great. I've got one Lami Safari and wanted to try Al-Star. Can clearly recommend to everyone. Solid, good looking, writing perfectly especially Exra fine nib.Very good price.

I wanted this Al-star for its colour, I wasn’t disappointed. I have also bought some Lamy violet ink cartridges and it looks really good.

I presently have three Lamy pens, having lost one on a train and dropped one that broke and had to chuck it out. Based on my experience of five of them they are superb, the present extra fine one is the one I use most at the moment, but the others are equally good. They deserve the design award.The cartridges are good too

writes a treat, and looks really good. You can easily substitute another LAMY nib, e.g. in my case a 1.1mm italic nib, though I have to pay postage to Ireland.

I've always been a fan of Lamy pens, since my school days. The extra-fine nib writes well, without being spidery. Lamy pens are repairable too, with new nibs available, so I use the same pen with different thicknesses of nib depending on what I'm doing.The barrel does tend to get a bit scratched, but it gets hard daily use and this is to be expected.

Lamy Füller kaufen wir jetzt schon seit Jahrzehnten… Immer vollstes zufrieden. Er liegt super in der Hand, wodurch Tintenfinger ausbleiben. Egal ob rechts- oder Linkshänder es ist immer etwas dabei. Lamy hat sehr schöne Farben für den Füller und die Qualität ist Top! Man kann ihn auch gravieren lassen.Gutes Produkt!

Bellissima stilografica. Il tratto è preciso anche se un poco grosso, devo comprare inchiostro Lamy perché il 4001 Pelikan è troppo fluido per questa stilo. La uso con il converter, non mi piacciono le cartucce. Bella, solida e a un basso costo, per quanto concerne di cosiddetta bassa categoria\scolastica. Sono contenta dell'acquisto.
