AAOTOKK USB 3.0 A Keystone Adapter Female to Female USB 3.0 A Keystone Jack Insert Socket Coupler Adapter for Wall Plate Outlet Panel (Black/5 Pack)

I have some USB flash drives that won't even connect when plugged into these ports. I tried other keystone ports, USB-C ports with an adapter, other computers, and they all work. I even took the AAOTOKK keystones out of the loop and plugged the devices straight into the same cable using a female-to-female adapter and they worked fine. So, I know 100% for sure the problem is these key stone ports. I tried 3 of them and they all have the same problem. They have worked with some other devices, but they must be very low quality if they don't work with devices that work on every other type of port, extension cable, and adapter. Edit: I replaced these with USB keystones from a different brand and now my devices work fine again confirming that he AAOTOKK keystone adapters are the problem. Be aware that these same adapters appear to be sold under other brand names also.

Turns out this is common (bought and tried several) with keystones. Stick with the ones that have a male pigtail (riteav has black ones but not super cheap that are truly 3.0). Something about a crossover or lack of - there is a review in another offering explaining it.

None of the five Adapter ran any faster than USB 2.0 speed. Returning these and buying ICC Keystone Jacks that cost more, but work at 3.0 speeds. To test I ran CrystalDiskMark. With AAOTOKK jacks read speed was 40 MB/s. With the ICC Jacks read speed is 225 MB/s.

No funcionan como es descrito. Usé treeview para revisar las velocidades y versiones de usb. Un hdd Toshiba canvio advance conectado directamente a mi laptop, aparece como dispositivo 3.0, pero al usar el cople aparece como dispositivo usb 2.1. Probe con un hdd seagate, y este ni siquiera logró conectarse. Probé un thumbdrive kingston y lo descompuso; ahora al conectarlo se sobrecalienta y no se puede leer la información.
