Just what I needed, perfect!
Yes, I have gotten more that 3 hours from a full charge but not at FULL volume. I clip it to the collar of my shirt right under my ear, blue tooth sync it to my iPhone 7+ and listen to the COMPLETE Chicago Cubs game with the SiriusXM All Access App. It's perfect to listen to the game anywhere and not disturb people around you. And it gives the freedom to move about without wires getting in the way and easy to raise or lower the volume one handed. Thank you Polk Audio! The only way it could get better is if it had the Cubs logo printed on it ;-)Edit 10/12/18:Believe it or not, I had one of these(I have 10 of them) go through the complete cycle in my washing machine and clothes dryer. Forgot it was in my pants pocket. I thought it would be ruined, BUT much to my surprise it worked just fine! Charged it up and still using it. In fact, I can’t even tell which speaker it is now. Looks and sounds just like the other 9 I have. Incredible!!!Polk really made this thing well. Be advised however, the washing machine is a Whirlpool Duet front loader, which uses less water than the old style top loaders. But still incredible to me!

Great for biking
This little speaker is so small and light, and so useful, that it really overcomes its shortcomings to be my new go-to personal bike speaker. It's loud enough that you can listen to music or whatever and still hear your surroundings while not disturbing everyone around you. I find myself even wearing it around the house if I'm listening to a podcast or the news. It works for jogs as well, but I'm less comfortable blasting music with people around. The BOOM BIT has a great rubberized clip, which is not fancy, but works very well to hold this thing onto a shirt collar, waistband, or backpack strap. There are only two buttons, but they control a ton of functions - volume, skipping, rewinding, answering phone calls, etc. The controls are not instantly intuitive, but you quickly learn how to use them, and mostly it can be done one-handed.The real shortcoming is the battery power. I can get two-three hours from one charge, which seems fine, but really means you need to recharge it frquently, and you can't get away with using it for a full day otherwise. It also seems to take a while to charge back up. I am torn as the the use of the big male USB plug versus having just a small micro USB port. It seems more convenient than it necessarily is - it takes up a lot of space on a usb outlet, and a lot of times I'd rather just use a smaller cord that's already lying on my desk. Also, it seems to add a lot of size tho the speaker - almost a quarter of the size is the the rubber cover at the bottom, and I'd rather see that go to a bigger battery and speaker. The sound is pretty good - it really sounds good when it's close to your ear, but obviously is not going to be a party speaker. It seems loud if you turn int on inside, but I find that I have to crank it all the way up if I'm biking in a windy or loud area. I wish it went just a little louder. Better yet would be if you could get two and hook them up together.I got this because my Outdoor Tech Buckshot 2 died and that speaker is louder but uses old bluetooth tech and I feel like they will have a new version soon. This thing is a quarter of the size, has just as good of a hook, is lighter weight and keeps a much better bluetooth connection and is much more responsive to the touch controls. Also, I got the black one for $12. I don't even know if I will want to go back to the bigger speaker. It was so good I bought another one for my kid to use.

DO NOT BUY!!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Great concept but does not work as advertised and their customer service is horrible. Battery life is suppose to be 3 hours. I have had two now and battery lasts only about an hour and songs from my iPhone cut in and out. Was in contact with customer service and they gave me tips such as having my iPhone volume on high, which I was already doing but it didn't help. Had same trouble with my second Boom Bit and I again contacted customer service multiple times without any response.

Polk Boombit Bluetooth speaker
I had been looking for a small Bluetooth speaker that would allow me to listen to my music but not necessarily disturb those around me. This device from Polk is the only Bluetooth speaker I had come across that allowed me to wear it on my clothes, securely up near my ear, meaning I can clearly hear the music while at half volume, meaning the battery does last the 4hr max play time as recommended by Polk. This also preserves battery life on my iPhone, though I can raise the volume to max, but then the battery life of both devices drops significantly... Highly recommended Bluetooth, wearable speaker!

Good idea with 'not quite' implemenation
It is a great concept and I would love to give it 5 stars because it has a solid build feel and had potential to fill a role nicely, but I almost went 2 because of performance.-1/2 star: The speaker is only slightly louder than the speaker on the phone. It performs OK if there is little to no background noise, but I bought it to use while working in the yard and around the house. Not that I expected it to overcome power tools, but it doesn't take much to drown this out. With some content, I find myself trying to turn it up, only to realize it is already maxed out ... even with it clipped to my shirt collar.- 1 1/2 stars: The most disappointing, however, is the battery. It is advertised to have a 3 hour battery life, which would be a lower limit of what I would want for my intended use in my opinion. This rating is likely at 1/2 volume, but as I mentioned, I find myself almost always at max volume. The unit is a month old and the unit will only play about an hour before the battery is spent and the unit turns itself off. 1 hour is a far cry from the 3 hours it is supposed to last, and this will likely only get worse as the battery ages.It is well constructed, small and light weight, but I would gladly have accepted an extra ounce or two if it meant better performance.July 3 Edit: Volume does indeed have a dramatic impact on battery life. I've found that clipping it to my collar on top of my shoulder - close to my ear - I can reduce the volume some, still hear it OK, and extend the battery life. I've also used the unit while having it plugged into a portable battery pack used to charge a mobile phone, and that works well but adds weight.
