This is an officially licensed, mini version of the U S Navy SEAL Trident. It meets all U S Government specifications. This item is actually worn by active duty, retired, and former US Navy SEALs when in civilian attire. It is perfectly acceptable and totally legal for non-SEALs to own and wear these as a tribute to our nation's greatest warriors. Made in the USA. Not made from real gold.

I was afraid to drop it for fear it would disappear into my carpet fibers....
Yeah, I don't have any idea who wrote reviews for this thing, but I was so uninspired when it arrived that I could hardly muster the give-a-um...darn? to open the package. And then once I did, yes, I was afraid of dropping it on my carpet for fear it would vanish amongst the not-at-all lengthy fibers. It says 1.5 inches, but as you can clearly see from the bitsy golden spec poised on my ruler, it's hardly over an inch, and it's about as flimsy as a child's toy you'd hand out as party favors. Dangerous party favors though, since the one thing it excels on is the pins that go out the back of it...They're nearly as large as the entire insignia.I bought this as a gift for a friend, who is a fan, and the only reason I might bother to return it is because of the ridiculous price I paid. If you're looking for something of quality, this isn't it. If you want to buy a gift for a child and you don't like that child, I'd go with a lead-based paint toy, since at least his/her discomfort will be slower, and theoretically more enjoyable. And if you're buying it for someone you care about, I'd find a different product, because I'd price the packaging as at least twice as valuable as this gold-coated-plastic?-Navy SEAL insignia-wannabe!!!

How important these are to me and how much they mean to who they are given to.
The product was almost a perfect match to my original trident which I received when I completed Navy SEAL training back in 1974.I wear the smaller ones I purchased on the lapels of my suits and jackets. I also have given them out to kids who have done something special such as helping an elderly person carry something for them. Or help them cross the street or take it upon themselves to do something good for someone without out being asked or told. I explain to them what the trident means and why I feel they deserve to be given one.

Nice SEAL Trident Pin with Good Details
After looking at several SEAL trident pins, I selected this one as a gift for a former "Team Player" because it had cleaner lines and sharper details than others. The trident on some pins was thick and the points did not look sharp; the trident points on this pin were well defined. The same was true of some other details. This is not the original pin given to SEALs, but it is very close in appearance on the front. I had researched both real and "knock off" pins, and this pin was a very good copy. It is small and lightweight. It could be worn on a cap or lapel. The gift recipient liked it and said it was "pretty close".

is as advertised
I got this for my 11 year old son to wear while giving a presentation about Chris Kyle and he loves it. I'm sure it will make its way to his play tac-vest as he aspires to earn a real one some day.

Nice
My husband lost his original pin, so this was a replacement and he says the quality matches the original. Thanks for having a product that my husband is proud to wear.

As described
Was exactly as stated and arrived quickly. Ordered to be used for my 1/16 Navy Seal Operator model I built. Detailed and looks great. Thank you.

U.S. Navy Small Detailed Trident Pin
I wanted the small pin versus the bigger size that is given when you become a SEAL. This is much more subtle and perfect for a coat or shirt collar. High quality that looks new even after wearing it for months now.
