Luvd it. So mystical and Venice with its canals and gondolas. The matured meeting of the heroes and the villainous thoughts getting sorted was so captivating

It is just as well that this is fiction as the hero was a bit of a toad who was basically a blackmailing bully.....an enjoyable story.

Well, I really enjoyed this book.Am a sucker for romance and this book fits the bill!Thank to the authoress.

So here's the synopsis of the story we have our hero and heroine who meet when she is very young she falls madly in love and him deeply in lust with her he asks her to marry him but because of a very very big misunderstanding a part ways her crushed and broken hearted and him angry and vengefulSeven years later he sees her again and all those hateful and vengeful feelings rise to the surface but he still wants her so what does he do what any alpha male would do he blackmails her into his bedSo the story begins with them bickering fighting avoiding their feelings for each other and the roller coaster ride insues but of course like every harlequin book there is a happy ever after

Sophie first met Max when she was only nineteen, she was smitten with this sexy Italian at 6'5" the phrase tall dark and handsome didn't even begin to cover it.Sophie was working at the hotel which he owned, Max was warned by the manager of his hotel a long standing friend not to seduce Sophie as she was too young and innocent. Max abided by this but with difficulty, after a few outings with Sophie, his control was beginning to weaken. On his last night before leaving he took Sophie out to dinner, he could not resist kissing her goodnight, but that was all, Sophie was very miserable when Max left but her friend who worked with her, had already warned her about Max's history with women. Max found it hard to forget Sophie then a week later he receives some news about himself and immediately returns to see Sophie this time he is determined to have her, after an explosive night he asks her to marry him she says yes her dream has come true she loves Max. Then two days later she overhears a conversation between him and his stepsister and is devastated by what she hears,breaking her engagement to Max he leaves telling her he never wants to se her again. The story picks up seven years later Max is going to have his revenge.I really enjoyed this book I liked both main characters very much, as usual with this author the male lead is strong sexy and very arrogant. While Sophie is a much softer character. I would have given this 5 stars except that the first third of the book was a bit disjointed going from the past to the present.
