Do the glasses have a flat bottom on the outside so to not retain water while upside down in the dishwasher, or is there a recessed area there?

Is the quality of glass thick & durable?

Yes, haven’t broken or chipped one for ages. In fact, I ordered a second set in case of breakage, my first set was purchased for in 2004 and I’ve taken only 2 glasses from the box as of now.

Mine arrived shattered. I want new shipped to me in a bix marked fragile rather than heavy so they dont get tossed around!! Who do i need to contact??

Yes, I use these daily and put them in the dishwasher daily too. I really like them. These glasses are very sturdy.
