By Terry My Best of Set 11 Skincare & Makeup Products
Sets like this offer the opportunity to try a variety of a company’s line of skin care and cosmetic products including items that otherwise might never be tried. This group also includes two small folders that provide small amounts of multiple shades of foundation (4 of the 18 available choices) and concealer (3 of the 6 available shades) and both should make selecting the right color easier. The products are all small travel size and presentation is excellent starting with an attractive display box. The items are wrapped in tissue paper and placed inside a large-size metallic rose color vinyl fabric lined zippered cosmetic travel bag. Note, some of the items have a fragrance which subjectively some people may like and others not and of course any scent may be an issue for people with fragrance sensitivities.I liked a number of the products including things that I thought were just filler items like the hand cream which required just a small amount, was absorbed quickly and left my skin visibly improved and hydrated. Overall I am impressed with the group.

Tested them all out and...
I read a lot of great reviews about the By Terry skincare and makeup products so I had to try them out for myself.I got the My Best Of Set.Everything came in a beautiful rose gold color makeup bag.Included:MASCARA TERRYBLY in black -Beautiful gold packaging. It made my eyelashes super long! Did not clump or smudge. Still applies effortlessly after over a month of use.HYALURONIC HYDRA-PRIMER -Texture soft and smooth, but I didn't see a difference In the way my skin looked. It did dry matte like it says on the tube.TEA to TAN FACE & BODY -It says hydra-bronze all over water-mist, so Iassumed it was a spray. It wasn't. It was a pump out bottle. To use, shake well so the shimmery particles mix well with the bronze liquid. Then use your hands to spread it evenly wherever you want a glow. I put some on my legs. My legs got a little red. Washed off with plain water. Aside from the redness, it was beautifully shimmery!! Little bit stain on my fingers after washing with soap and water.BAUME DE ROSE LA CREME MAINS -love love this hand cream. If you love the scent of roses, you will definitely love this hand cream too! Pretty pink hand cream that makes your hands feel so soft and hydrated.BAUME DE ROSE LE SOIN LEVRES -pretty sheer gloss, not sticky, with a subtle scent of roses.OMBRE BLACKSTAR 4 - Bronze Moonoh, this creme eyeshadow stick stays on forever! I use it as eyeliner too. Pretty and shimmery.HYALURONIC HYDRA-POWDER 0. ColorlessUsed this over the HYALURONIC Hydra-Foundation and the HYALURONIC Hydra-concealer using the TOOL-EXPERT- Princeau kabuki. Although the powder made my makeup stay on perfectly all day, my skin looked and felt dry. I also mixed the BRIGHTENING CC SERUM in with the HYALURONIC Hydra-Foundation. Still looked and felt dry.Not all of the BY TERRY products were for me, but I will continue to use most of it.

Contains color complexion products!
Unfortunately this travel size set of By Terry makeup and skincare contains some color complexion products. So there are several products that won’t work for most skin colors. The foundation, concealer, bronzer, and brightening serum were all too dark for my light skin tone. I was still able to test them to see if I like the formulas, but if I’m going to be paying $85…I’d like to try shades a little closer to my own skin tone. That being said, I do like the idea of trying a bunch of smaller versions of product to see what I like and what I don’t before buying the full-size. The tiny setting powder made me gasp when I opened it, adorable! The tiny retractable kabuki is super cute as well. Overall, I found a few things that I liked, but this bag of product is quite the gamble for the price. I guess if you are really interested in the brand, then this trial set might be worth it. Below are some products that I thought worth elaborating on…Primer: This is the type of primer that you have to carefully pat around your face or it will start to ball up. I was able to make it work, but the final result was nothing special.Brightening Serum: While it wasn’t the right color for my skin tone, I did really enjoy the formula and the effect on my skin. It was very pretty and gave me a glow without being too dewy or glittery. I ended up using a light colored powder to make it work on my skin tone.Mascara: Average at best. Doesn’t really do much. I included a photo of one layer on my lashes. I think it worked best for my lower lashes. No clumping, no flaking, no volume, and no lengthening. It did separate the lashes and add some color…but that’s about it.Hand Cream: Smells strongly of roses…but a very nice rose scent. Not a generic floral rose scent and not a grandma scent either. Moisturizes really well and lasts a long time.

Tiny products for an exorbitant price
I'm completely underwhelmed with this "Best of Set". I was so excited when I got a chance to try this. It comes in a super cute rose gold bag, unfortunately the bag is very cheaply made and the zipper broke the first time I used it. It was disappointing when I opened the bag to find 8 "mini" products, a "mini" retractable Kabuki brush and 2 sample cards, for foundation and concealer. The size of the "mini" is supposed to be travel sized for on-the-go touch-ups, but these are more of a sample size. They're right around the same size as the samples I can get for free at the cosmetics counter in the mall. The 8 "mini" products include setting powder, primer, lip balm, brightening CC serum, mascara, liquid bronzer, eyeliner and hand cream. I was also disappointed when I pulled everything out and there was no information about any of the products, what they're meant to do or how to use them correctly. I hate to say it, but I feel like this is a complete rip-off. It was listed for $85 when I got it on Vine. Are you kidding me? Did people seriously pay that much for this tiny amount of products?!?!
