Light weight and bright and held charge for a while

We got the lights to put at my father in-law house and they work great.

I think these would be great in a smaller space than I'm using in. I have them 20' in air and it lowers the efficacy.

The lights are easy to install but the brightness is not as expected especially when sunlight is minimal.

These solar lights are huge and they do require the hefty hardware. I usually install my lighter, smaller solar lights but since these were heavy and longer I had my husband do it. Where we installed them required a ladder and I felt more comfortable holding the ladder versus installing these.They work great. I am very glad that I had them installed so high because they give off a wide ray of light. I definitely think you would lose some of the benefit of these lights if you mounted them lower. Naturally you still could though. Also, since they are mounted higher, the remote comes in handy. It allows me to control settings from the comfort of the ground versus climbing a ladder to change something.

When I first got these and installed them, I was not too happy with them as they did not stay on very long at night and would typically be off with the batteries dead after only a few hours of being dark. I had them at the mode so they would run at lower brightness until motion, then high brightness, and back to low after motion is gone. I finally decided to take them down from where they were and put them in new locations. After moving them, they now run all night without any problems and can even run all night when the day is overcast or bad weather all day, so they don't get very much sun light. In my mind, they are in worse positions to get good sunlight from where they were, but it's the only thing that changed and they are doing so much better now and I like having them in their new locations better, too.

Does everything as advertised. Larger than expected. Decent light give off. Only thing is that it needs to be secured well to whatever surface you're attaching it too. A windy day makes the fixture move. I'm just waiting for it to be ripped from side of garage.
