Q: Just got a 4-cup; starting with boiling water; on an induction burner on medium (240deg) not all of the coffee is coming up from the base. Help!

Some water will stay in the base as a safety precaution to avoid burning the base of the espresso maker.

Q: is the inside of the water chamber steel or coated with some other material?

It is sand blasted stainless steel. There is no coating.

Q: at any time is the gasket exposed to the water or coffee grinds or are where the same air that hits that will go into the coffee or water or finished?

The gasket fits perfectly on the bottom inside rim of the carafe part of the pot. It is not exposed and Personally I have had no problems with it. It is a sturdy, attractive, functional espresso pot. I recommend it.

Q: I want to know if this product is completely stainless steel. I am seeing so many other stovetop espresso makers that have an aluminum core.

Yes, the Cuisinox Roma 6-cup espresso pot is stainless steel except for the two gaskets included. It really is a great product. Making espresso is a breeze and the pot cleans up well. We've had our pot about a year and are considering to up the scale by going to a 10-cup Cuisinox.
