The author of the international bestseller Shantaram takes us on a gripping personal journey of wonder and insight into science, belief, faith and devotion. Drawing on sacred traditions, rigorous logic and the six-year instruction of his spiritual teacher, Roberts describes the step-by-step process he followed in search of spiritual connection - a process that anyone, of any belief or none, can benefit from in their own lives. This gripping personal account of the 'Leap Of Faith' is a compellingly fresh addition to such enduring, spiritually inspiring works as Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance , The Road Less Travelled and The Celestine Prophecy . As Roberts writes, ' The Spiritual Path is a book on spiritual matters that my younger self wanted desperately: one that offers more answers than questions, and helps to reset the spiritual compass.' Review: This is not a book for the faint-hearted looking for an A to Z of Spirituality - I can't praise this book enough. As the name would imply, a spiritual path is a route to finding the means by which one might discover one's self (or, as GDR prefers, Self). We are, all of us, on a Spiritual Path whether we realise it or not - Gregory David Roberts book reveals this to the reader in an ingenious way by systematically exploring the psychological layers which make up the human personality. To make the most of this book the reader is required to scrutinise each of these layers that they may reveal to the self the essential Self at the core of each and every one of us. Review: One of the best spiritual books out there - If you have already started your spiritual journey or about to embark on one, read this book for inspiration. A lot of synchronicities happened while I was reading this book. I would read it again.

Sincere story of GDR's spiritual path! Please read it with fresh eyes, is not Shantaram!
I came across Shantaram early November 2022. Someone mentioned about the book. Although, I saw this book everywhere years back, even in India, knowing that was a novel I did not buy it. I am an avid reader, I must have read about a thousand books but I do not read novels. As I started Shantaram, I could not put it down. I finished the book in 8 days. I have many books that changed my life but definitely Shantaram is one of the best books I have read. I resonated so much with GDR and his writing. Through his writing, I felt GDR is a sensitive, kind, beautiful Soul. I felt sincerity in his story and I knew nothing about the author. After reading Shantaram, I became curios who the author is and how much of Shantaram is fiction vs. real story. I watched every video on YouTube and read every article I came across about GDR. I knew Linbaba's story was real, I felt it as I was reading it. When I learned more about the author, I was beyond trilled to see such an amazing, beautiful, sensitive Soul. A true gentleman. GDR is such a beautiful human being. One thing I want to point out, the introduction to GDR starts: a heroin addict, convicted bank rubber, etc. I would reframe his introduction: a writer, a philosopher, a sensitive soul, lost his way into heroin...and then found his way back to light and love...People forget to mention why he strayed from his path as a writer for a while. I love, love GDR! I read GDR's Spiritual Path while on a plane from NYC to MEX. I did not want to finish it. I read it without any expectations. I knew is not Shantaram. I loved how he shared his spiritual path in such a candid, sincere way. I resonated so much with GDR's book: sincerity, humbleness, simplicity, purity of mind and heart.
