Good film fun to watch

Great fun movie. Very Ryan Reynolds.

One of those rare big budget movies that tries a relatively original concept. Free Guy sees Ryan Reynolds as Guy. Who works in a bank. Is unfailingly optimistic and positive at the start of each day, despite things going rather bad around him. And is generally a positive person.But he's missing something. A soulmate. Sighting a lady on the street one day who catches his gaze right off, he finds he's not actually Emmett in the Lego Movie, he's a character in a computer game. Who shouldn't be capable of independent thought. A remarkable journey of discovery awaits for both of them...You stop thinking Lego Movie after a quicker amount of time than you think. And if you just go with this film, you do have a very good time.Ryan Reynolds does play Ryan Reynolds. But at the same time he does get good character growth and a good character arc. The film does have some good solid plotting that gives it good narrative development and a very decent pace. It's not stretched and it doesn't drag out it's final act.Jodie Comer as the mysterious lady is good, but more interesting when her character is in Avatar form as she gets to act more when she is. Her real world love interest is played by Joe Keery. Steve from Stranger things. You might get a bad case of why does he look familiar and not realise for ages as I did, so there you go. Nice seeing him in a big budget movie.The supporting cast provide able support. Although director/actor Taika Waititi, as the villain, rather grates. He creates a very good character and antagonist who is very three dimensional, but you get the feeling every time he's on screen he's trying to be funny with it. And he's not. He's annoying when he tries that.This does play with some interesting philosophical concepts also, although perhaps not as much as it could have. But it doesn't force them on you.Gamers might find some of the depictions in here stereotypical. But there you are.And it's not suitable for the under twelves, with some mild innuendo and one line in particular. You'll know what I mean when you hear it. As they probably already have. Even so...It does rush itself at one point, but otherwise as mentioned pacing is good. There are some really good cameos also, some of which you really won't pick up on. And one won't mean anything to most Brits. But all in all, a pretty amiable watch, and a good time passer.The dvd has the following language and subtitle options:Languages: English, Castilian Spanish, French, English audio described.Subtitles: English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish. Norwegian, Castilian Spanish, Swedish, French.It's a totally bare bones dvd, like most these days. Thus it goes straight into the main menu when loaded with no ads or trailers. And there are absolutely no extras.

A great film. Product arrived sealed and new as expressed.

This is a lovely film with a refreshingly original idea for a plot. RR plays a nice guy caught up in a world that doesn't seem right somehow. His adventures as he learns about the world around him are lovely to watch. There are great performances from everyone in the ensemble cast, direction is taut and the interplay between real and unreal is seamless. A great film to watch with your family. I recommend it to you.

A Great action-packed comedy starring Ryan Reynolds as a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game and decides to become the hero of his own story.

Totally enjoyed watching this. Well worth the price. No problems with watching it a second or third time.

Ryan Reynolds continues to shine as the hilarious lead in this brilliant take on The Truman Show.It works on a simple level as a Saturday night fun movie for all.For anybody older and that way inclined- It also touches on the bizarre infinite philosophical implications of avatars and soul-less Non-Player-Characters in Virtual Worlds. Who is Real? What is Real? And how might our understanding of Hardwar and Software help us to get a grip on that debate? By analogy - don't all societies and groups tend to relegate outsiders to NPC status - not important?Does make you wonder:Are you a PLAYER ?? OR an NPC ??

Don't put self-imposed or societal-imposed definitions on your life. Explore pathways outside of your comfort zones and new interests that feed your passions. Ryan Reynolds was brillant in this role as a NPC who was programmed to independently think once he met the key player in the game.

Der Film ist einfach nur wow!!!Und wenn mir das so völlig allein gehen würde wäre es mir egal.Der Film hat sich mir derart ins Herz gefressen,der sticht so tief in eine Wunde aus Freude Trauer Sehnsucht Hoffnung und Hoffnungslosigkeit, ich hab schon lang nich mehr so mit den Tränen kämpfen müssen.Zuletzt hatte ich das bei Avatar.Ich liebe sowas egal ob ein umwerfend toller Film Musik irgendein Ding oder ein Moment der einen so tief trifft das man einfach nur heult wie ein Schlosshund vor Freude und Schmerz.Dieser Film ist einfach der Knaller .Gut ein bisschen sollte man schon Games lieben.Ready Player One war Käse aber Free Gay ist der Hype.Witzig,lustig umwerfend unterhaltsam.

Es una de las películas más divertida que he visto últimamente. Esta es la versión inglesa HDR 4K con doblaje y subtítulos en español latino. El bluray no tiene español. Suelo ver las películas en versión original, por lo que me da igual el doblaje.
