EMP P/N 13188 Polaris RZR Gated Speed Shifter from

I really like this speed gate shifter. Install went good as there is lots of clear access once you quickly remove the center console, which I didn't do at first but quickly discovered I needed to! Directions were ok, a couple steps could be made clearer and a couple tell you to put something together and then repeat that later, giving you a few eye brow raises. But it went well and was fun to install. I agree with others that the black powder coat is bad. Mine has peeled at the top flat part and the gate part is all chipping up. Would like just plain stainless steel. That said, I'm really happy with it!Update: I adjusted the shifter per instructions while it was in my garage. At that point I could hit all gears and the dash indicated each gear it was in. However, on first test ride it kept popping out of high gear. So I simply adjusted the cable a bit (at rear double nut). But then it wouldn't stay in park. There was no further way to adjust as each micro adjustment (got down to quarter turns of the rear throttle cable nut) just wouldn't allow both park and high to be fully engaged, just one or the other. What I ended up having to do was to use a die grinder and round stone bit and ground the top and bottom gate slot so the shifter was allowed to be pushed further up/down deeper into park/high gear. This worked. Maybe it was just the quirk of my RZR but keep this in mind if you have similar issues. After that adjustment, it has worked fine since. Ive had it on several days of long riding, including some big hills, and it has worked flawlessly!

Installed on my 2017 xp 1000 bolted on no problem looks good, fits good, in shiping it got bent but no big deal. You will need to grind some of the steal plate to get it to go into park the throw is a little to short. I messed with the cable trying to fine tune to get it to go into all selected positions but found that the shift knob shaft hits the steal plate and stops it before it got all the way into park. Grinded out 1/8 and now it works great. Other than that it's 5 stars!! Trail tested and wow what a difference will never go back to stock set up.

This shifter wont shift all the way into Park or all the way into High no matter how you adjust it. If I loosen the cable, it'll go into High but not Park. If I tighten it, itll go to park but not High. I've even added more depth to the gated area still cant get it to work. I've seen others mention this same issue on RZRForums.com. I always drive in low for trail rides so it's not a huge issue but from time to time I do need high. Really wanted to love this shifter.

After good 5 days of riding this shifter is AWSOME!!!!! I do a lot of trail rides in Hollister Hills Ca and in mountain areas. With this gate shifter I can make a fast gear change easy with out ever having to look down to see what gear im in. L to R and back from R to L is easy in tight areas where you need to change gears fast. It my have saved me from a roll over already!!!!

I bought this for my 2015 rzr trail 900. Got it in a few days. Installation was very easy. Works great when shifting between low and reverse. I like the locking feature too. Helps deter theft. Will buy again if I purchase another rzr.

Very hard to adjust so the Rzr will go into park and high. I am a little concerned that are the parts wear it will require more adjustment. But I really like being able to go from R to L without looking.
