K’NEX – Turbo Jet – 2-in-1 Building Set – 402 Pieces – Ages 7+ – Engineering Educational Toy

Well lets see ... Opened the box and the detailed book of directions was for the 2 in 1 TURBO CAR! We purchased 2 in 1 Turbo Jet. So I had to go online and find the book and print 21 color pages from my printer (cant print in b&w it would be to difficult to follow). Knowing that getting a book sent to me would take forever and I had a 7 year old wanting to put his present together we printed it here. We did have to look over the parts to make sure they actually sent us the K'nex parts for the Jet and not the Car.. Definitely put a damper on the project. Better product checks would be nice. We were excited to see him work on another type of building set than Legos and now just frustrated.

Just so you know, as I didn't when I sat down to build this with my six-year-old son...We had bought two and he had already built the jet with his dad. The instructions for the helicopter are not inside. The entire booklet is for the jet, and at the end of the booklet it will send you to a website to download the instructions for the helicopter. You'll want to print them out in color. I'd subtract a star or whatever for the big disappointment but the truth is my son loves the K'Nex (even his older sister comes around and gets engrossed in it) and the instructions are really great besides that time, so still five stars. They're fun.

Instructions are very hard to follow, even for adults with advanced academic degrees. Engine is poorly made, and batteries do not fit properly. Connections between pieces create a flimsy design. Hard to find anything to recommend about this or similar products; nothing in the whole experience to be gratifying for a kid.

grandson loves to build things out of legos and construction pieces so he took to this with eagerness.

Great item to build and a toy my son can actually play with without it crumbling to pieces. It was missing the assembly instructions though, so it took some searching online to find the instructions.

My son and I thought it was really lousy to only get the instructions for the jet. We don't have a printer at home. It's really obnoxious that they write two builds all over the box and only include one booklet.

Got this set for my son's friend for his birthday. It was his favorite gift. My son and he have played with it for a few hours without getting bored. The kids are 7 and didn't need our help putting it together, the instructions are easy to follow.

Purchased for grandson . He loves it . I like because it gives him something to build confidence in his abilities .and the end result is it moves ( motorized )

very cool set. instruction is a bit difficult for my 7 year old. need some help from me. end product impressive. sadly the battery did not work from the start and kid got really frustrated.

My 6 year old son loves it and he makes all kinds of different things with this set!
