Great book! Megan is very smart and you can tell by the writing she is passionate and knowledgeable about the material. Highly recommended!

This book is extremely well researched but that may well be its downfall. Each chapter has anywhere between 110-120+ citations and by wanting to reference everything she researched Dr. Black has unfortunately written a tedious book on a subject that is already rather esoteric. Finishing the book which certainly cover a lot of interesting topics, has been rather difficult for me. A better approach would have been to write shorter chapters (maybe 20 instead of 30 pages), and include a bibliography for each chapter but Harvard U. P, might not have accepted this easier to read format.
