Well, I can confirm it’s certainly for a high quality look and feel to the product. I like the fact it shows off the physical characteristics of my iPhone and it feels rugged.The case is very accommodating of Lens Protectors and screen protectors (in my case, I have an ESR Armourite screen shield installed and an LK lens protector). In fact, they fit like a glove. The raised edges around the screen and the camera give piece of mind that a direct flat impact with a surface would help soften the blow.Luckily, I’ve not yet dropped my device so I cannot comment on its actual protection from a fall, but it certainly has resisted dust and scratches so far.It’s grippy, not slippy, too! Even so, it still offers that clear and shiny look you’d expect from a clear case.My only criticism of this case is that there is not an option where the HaloLock/MagSafe ring is coloured to match the phone (I have a graphite iPhone yet the HaloLock ring is only offered in white on this case). However, I can live with that.Update October 2022: after about 7 months of use, I took the case off to clean it (warm soapy water only) and rid the phone lint build up. I did notice a little yellowing, but nothing to complain about. At the time of this edit (end of October) the yellowing is much more obvious when I took the case off to wash it again. However, it is only around the left, right and bottom sides of the phone where you’d normally hold it. The backplate is still clear, and there’s very slight yellowing around the camera lens area. Saying that, the case is still rigid and serves its purpose, so I’ll try and make do with it for longer.
