Good quality, good price
I used these to repair some tree loppers whose wire springs in the pole extension mechanism kept disappearing. These stay put better. Thanks.

What I needed
Replacement for broken spring on secateurs. Easy to fit and I now have spares. Means the secateurs can live another day!

Surprisingly effective
I had lost the spring on a pair of Wilkinson secateurs. My first reaction was that these replacements didn’t fit, but they did once I removed the rubber buffers from my secateurs. They are now working perfectly, almost better than before. I shouldn’t have wasted money buying a posh new pair. I have now got spares of everything.

Not robust enough and smaller clips are weak at join
The smaller clips at the folding end are not joined across their width by plastic like the larger ones but just have joining tabs of plastic at each side with a gap in the middle. This makes them weaker and more likely to break (a couple have already done so after a week). They will do the job but more care has to be taken using them than should be necessary in an item like this. Also, the plastic is a little more brittle (less flexible) and thin than is ideal which again reduces their longevity.So basically, okay for the price, but care needed in use and they don’t inspire confidence.
