Fast charges, but doesn't wirelessly charge, but has a headphone jack!
It's honestly such a step up from what I'm used to, bottom of the barrel, hardly able to use it without going unresponsive. But I decided to really splash out on a phone that I know that will last a while longer and enjoy using it. It's got a headphone jack! Something I didn't even know modern phones come with, happy it does. 128 gigs of storage and Google cloud, it's practically unlimited! It's snappy, and has enough ram to comfortably game and have a thing or two in the background. Battery life isn't the best, but it lasts almost throughout the day, and if you can't, a 20 minute quick charge will definitely help. Solid phone, solid build quality, wish it had a better battery.

Phone died after about a year and a half
Good phone with good camera until it died after about a year and half. The screen just suddenly went blank during a call. Checked online and found out it's a common issue with Pixel 5a. They all have faulty motherboards that would eventually die. No way to turn your phone on, no repairs whatsoever. No ways to retrieve your data directly from the phone also.

Glitchy
Chinese version so u can't take the camera shutter sound off, UI shuts down abruptly, fingerprint reader doesn't always recognize my prints.

Outstanding battery life, great overall performances, very good fingerprint reader
After 3 years with the LG flagship LG G6+, that cost me a lot of money and was stuck on the Android 8 version (because of US Cellular), I decided to try a high mid-range phone. After reading some reviews, I decided to abandon LG and go to Google Pixel 5A. And what I can tell you is that I am more than happy with this phone. 1st of all the fingerprint reader works way better than the LG G6+ ( this one stopped working after a few days). Regarding autonomy, it's been a while since I found myself in a situation where I no longer had to worry about recharging my phone for a whole day. And finally, for the price, the performance and general experience far exceed that of the LG G6. Verdict, no need to buy a flagship to have a very good phone

pretty good, died 3 years later(motherboard issue?)
I purchased this phone in 2022 and it died yesterday. The good: This phone worked throughout the years in terms of 5G, wifi, LTE, calling, texting, browsing the web, watching videos, having literally 100s of tabs on google chrome. Overall pretty good experience with the phone. Weird behavior(accounts for like 10% of phone experience overall): sometimes the phone would lag and be unresponsive/freeze for a few moments like it was loading or doing something in the background. i think it was downloading updates or something im not sure. it would do bursts of unresponsive around once a week on average. one time close to before it died on me the calling stopped working i only found out because someone told me they called me and it didnt work. i fixed it by restarting the phone (maybe left it on too long? it was on for a week max?) When it died: so one day i went to sleep and when i woke up the phone screen did not turn on. the phone itself works(it vibrates when i press buttons) but the screen is just completely black. i had read later that the pixel 5a has a known motherboard issue so yea it might of died because of that. the phone was under me when i woke up so maybe i rolled on it, but there were no new scratches or cracks so im not so sure. stray ending thoughts: im thinking of buying a samsung s23 ive read it is reliable and pretty good as well. this phone costed me ~$500 and lasted 3 years, thats ~$166 per year, maybe good? Summary: this is a good phone but it might randomly die on you because of a known motherboard issue.

Takes great pics and is a quick lil phone
Resisted replacing my phone because the process of migration and learning the new set up was more than I wanted to deal with at the moment. I was actually forced to after my digital buddy's face shattered. This turned out to be a good thing when I got this great replacement. True only 5 g but that'll be good for a few years and that seems to be my timing for the next replacement. I love the simplicity of the layout and the hidden menu of apps. I would definitely buy this great lil phone again.

Not Great
I purchased this phone is April 10, 2022 and had it less than a year before it randomly froze on me, and shut off and was never able to be turned on again after that. The phone has no water or actual physical damage other than a very small scuff. It was protected with screen protectors, and a case. The phone now acts completely dead, with no response to trying to power it on or when you plug it in to charge it. Unfortunately I'm out of a phone because I purchased through Amazon and the warranty on the phone was crap. Please beware of buying third party, and go to the direct Google store to purchase any devices.

Brilliant
I used this phone as my daily driver before recycling it in my business. It is probably the best value for money I have ever spent. I t has serious staying power and it never misses a beat. I don't like big phones however I may make an exception and consider buying another one.
