OkumaAvenger ABF B Series Baitfeeder Reels

I’ve only fish with it once so far but it sure is miles ahead in quality of the kastking sharky 111 bait runner. The sharky lasted 13 fish and sheared half the handle lugs off. The kastking rep said he owned three of them and they all did the same thing. The only thing I have noticed so far is the bail has to be in a certain position to engage the bait runner feature or it won’t click all the way forward. The above photo is from my Kastking Sharky 111 3000 bait runner after 3 weeks and 13 fresh water drum ranging from three to fifteen pounds. It didn’t last long. I have faith in the Okuma Avenger. Bought the 40 size because it was $40. I’m sure it will last for years.

I used this to fish off of the Matanzas bridge on the north Florida coast. It was bigger and more robust than the 2 Okuma 50B reels that I also used at the same time. I had some very good strikes with fish bites with a 6 Oz sinker and was able to cast my rig a long distance with an 80lb braided line. I had one hit that almost took the tied-down rod off of the bridge and my saltwater rod was almost folded in half. I was not able to see or land the fish due to a hook failure. This reel is designed and exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend you purchase this reel for large saltwater fishing. Both drags worked like my 50B reels and the fish will not feel the pull with their first run. I am pleasantly happy with my purchase!

Worked for the weekend. Can't say much else about it since I barely fish lol sadly, no big fish were caught either to test the strength and disability. Just glad it worked for me.
