My handleset was getting really hard to use, so I've replaced it with this a few months ago and it's been great. Really nice solid construction

Absolutely LOVE the simplicity of the Greenwich design, while being strong and beautiful. Only wish I could get the digital locker to match!

Our home was built in the late 1960's. The original cedar shingle siding was dated, worn and required either painting or replacement. We chose to replace it, and did so with Hardie Plank. We took the opportunity to replace all the exterior fitments on the home as-well (mailslots, door knobs, door knockers, door bell buttons, house numbers, exterior lights, etc...).The main entry of our home has a magazine style (13") mailslot in the front door and we chose to install a Schlage Greenwich Exterior Handleset to complement the updated Schlage interior handles on the rest of the home. We paired the exterior handleset with a 'closet door' handle that we already had, and used a deadbolt that was left from our interior door to our garage (we had purchased 4 matching exterior door sets with deadbolts from our local builder store).The finish on the handleset is excellent, and the feel of the product in your hand is solid. Function of the thumb lever is smooth and positive.Worthy of note: The main entry door of our home is wood and original to the home. The door handle and deadbolt openings in the door were smaller than modern door knobs, and required the openings to be enlarged to support the new handleset. After a little research, I found that the local builder store (Lowes) had a product in stock that would make the job EASY... so I made a trip to the builder store and purchased a "DEWALT Bi-Metal Door Lock Installation Kit". It can be found on Amazon as-well. I would recommend checking the size of the openings in your door, and ordering the lock installation kit if needed to simplify the job.

After two years the handle looks horrible, the matt coat filled off and what remains have an odd color. Either go with a different brand or get the glossy finish.
