Q: how long are the nails?

Q: How tall (or long) are the hooks from top to bottom? I have tiny pictures & don't want the hooks visible when the pictures are hung. Thanks.

It is 3/4" long. It should work fine on a small picture.

Q: Will this be good enough for drywall?

I think it is. All the pictures, mirrors, etc that I have hanging in my home are on drywall. I think most ordinary houses built after World War II contain sheetrock covered walls rather than plaster. To ease your mind, with a heavier picture, you might use two hangars placed 4 or 5 inches apart.
