Waste of money
This was probably the most frustrating product ever. It leaked litter all over the place. If there was fresh urine in the box it got stuck in the slots and needed to be scraped through them. It's a great idea in theory but makes more work in the long run.

Good Idea. Easier on my back
The sifting of litter away from the solids works fine. But the solids from urine went down into the slits and hardened in the slits. I have to find some way to clean the tray before putting it on the bottom of the stack. There was semi hard litter with urine sticking on the bottom of the slit of the tray, in the slit and I need to find something to put on the floor so this urine clumped seepage doesn't sit on my floors. But the sifting idea was a good one.I'm still testing to find out how I can use this. The 2nd tray down did catch the semi hardened litter that had run through. Cats in Florida drink a lot of water which is good for them.

Not-So-Self Sifting... Scooping the old way is simply the best way to get it done
The commercial makes it look so simple, the technique of the "turn the top sifter 180 degrees and replace at the bottom" doesn't really work as clean and as simple as it seems. As we all know, cats like to use the little box more than once a day, and if you have more than one cat, this definitely wont work either. I had this for a week after realizing that even while I was realizing I had to revisit the box about 5 times per day, there were still wet litter bits in between the slits at the bottom, which clogged the tray and then ultimately I ended up just scooping the box in the end anyways. So this ended up serving as me scooping it like a normal litter box anyways. It definitely does not work with any type of litter as the commercial and advertisement says. It shows with little use as if the cat had just used it. Sure, this will work if you have one cat and sift after EACH AND EVERY TIME they go, but it's much too small for a grown cat to begin with and having to clean it constantly is just too much. I have 2 cats, females, and they did not have any room to comfortably go because of the issues (couldn't fill it with enough litter because it is too shallow, becomes too full too soon, not big enough for full grown kitties, the litter stuck to the bottom and sides after urinating, not enough litter use for being able to cover their potty.. etc...) So, ultimately, I am going the best way, which is the nice and efficient way, the nice and "get it done" way of just doing it all the old way, just get a normal tote or large bin and fill with the amount of litter that you need for the number of kitties you have and just scoop with a metallic scooper. This would leave your litter box cleaner because you're getting it done right the first time by doing it yourself and only you know your kitties and how they like their litter boxes :-) After all, they are our furbabies right? Hope this helps!

Good Buy, Good Price
Bought two and after 6 months or so it is still holding up fine. I like that the sifting motion loosens large clumps without leaving small fragments behind and I don't miss anything. Seems like there is less dust up than scooping. Swapping out trays leaves a bit of litter to sweep up but its no big deal. The free grooming mitt would probably be better with a larger animal. My cats hated it.

Does not function as advertised!
Product does not operate as efficiently as advertised. While emptying the top tray, the litter has a tendency to go everywhere instead of falling straight into the box.
