Great substitute to a light box
This is super easy to use. You wear it like glasses and it stays on for an hour with an auto shut off when you're done. Makes bright light therapy super easy. You can adjust the brightness which is nice incase your a bit more sensitive to brighter lights. It's rechargeable which is awesome.

Changed My Life!
This helped me overcome a spate of insomnia that had my days and nights turned around. After months of trying without success to get up in the mornings and go to sleep at night, I found these glasses and it changed my life!I've never been a morning person and got into the unfortunate habit of using caffeine to wake up in the mornings and an OTC sleep aid to get to sleep at night. So eventually, both the caffeine and the sleep aids stopped working and I was in real trouble. I purchased the ReTimers and used them extensively until my body adjusted to the proper sleep-wake rhythms. It took about four days to really make the change. During that time, I actually didn't sleep at all, but was able to stay awake during the day because of the light that shone into my eyes. It was a rough few days but in the end, my body gave up and I was able to go to sleep when the sun set and wake up naturally in the morning at sunrise. No more caffeine and no more OTC sleep aids. I haven't had to take a sleeping pill for two months now and I hope I never need one again!I still use these for about an hour each morning, because I am naturally slow to wake up and get going during the day and slow to wind down and go to sleep at night. The ReTimer Glasses keep me on track and help me not to go backwards.

The nose bridge is horrible...
Well this is just a quick review after the first few days - I can't really comment on the sleep yet. However, as many others have pointed out I can't emphasis enough how horrible and poorly designed the nose bridge is. It just digs into your nose. I don't think I could engineer a more poor nose bridge if I tried.I would also like to point out one other terrible design flaw. Instead of being able to put these on like normal glasses you have to slide them on over head - like a hat. The ear rests do not have *ANY* outward flex, and if you have even a medium sized head - they will not have any give and instead you have to pull the glasses down over your head. This is just bad engineering in my professional opinion - they should be double hinged or something so you have a little give like normal eyeglasses - the plastic they used is so rigid you really don't have any outward give to slide them on like normal glasses. Also, when you try to slide them off your face like normal glasses, the plastic on the ear rests is so tensioned inward that they kind of scrape toward your eyeballs. So that's my preliminary review - I know this is 2nd Gen or whatever but apparently you guys never actually tested them on real people? I'll keep updating this based on my tests and / or if they get sent back...

So effective for getting light in my eyes first thing!
I've been using these since 2021 and have found them to be super effective at getting light into my eyes first thing, no matter what season or whether we're in standard or daylight savings time. This supports my circadian rhythm so my body knows when it's time for sleep, which gets harder and harder in perimenopause. It's a treasured part of my morning ritual and evidence is mounting about how important sunlight in your eyes first thing is. They're a little on the big side but are absolutely worth the time it takes to get used to them. They hold a charge for a long time even when I use them for the entire timed cycle every morning!

Helps a little
Re-timer seems to help me a little with insomnia. But for me, compared to going outdoors for at least an hour or more on a sunny day, going outdoors has a far more powerful effect on my well being and ability sleep than using this device. So it's useful for days when can't find the time go outdoors, but Re-timer can't compete with mother nature.

Very effective, but needs some human factor expertise
UPDATE: After years of wearing these, they continue to be very effective for me. The effectiveness of the lights used as instructed, has been amazing. I've finally stopped using over-the-counter sleep aids for first time in 17 years. It took almost four weeks, but I couldn't be more pleased. The drawback, the glasses are awkward to wear. Too much weight on nose piece, because I have to put temples up high on the sides of my head to prevent them from falling off. A good "Human Factors" expert could correct these issues. The lights work, the fit is terrible.I'm enjoying the ability to reset my brain when we travel. Now...get the fit corrected and you'll get five stars!

5 years later
This is a great product. Great to combat winter blues, improve waking up, and get better sleep. Short winter days don't even bother me anymore. I would definitely buy these again.

Low-setting does not work
There are two settings: HIGH and LOW. The low setting would NOT work because it immediately advances to the high setting by itself. So, I returned and exchanged for another pair. Same problem: The low setting will NOT stay on low and it immediately advances to high power. I emailed customer service about this problem and they did not respond after two weeks , and so, was forced to return the glasses. NOTE: It is not recommended to use these glasses with children under age 13 but no reason is given as why. I would give it two stars because the high setting did work and I used them on myself before I returned them and seemed to help adjust my circadian rhythm. However, I did feel some eye irritation after only using them five minutes at a time. I would go with a full screen green/blue light that is square or rectangle so that you can adjust the intensity by the distance from the screen. Those devices are also less expensive and light on your skin has been shown by science to be as effective as just light in your eyes ( perhaps more so). I usually do not write reviews but am writing this one because they sent me two pairs of defective glasses, did not respond via customer service, and as a warning to others that be very careful if you think you are using the low setting make sure it is not really on "HIGH"
