A lot of Asian recipes will call for this wine and say you can substitute it with more common ingredients. So that’s what I did. But man oh man. You really need this. It gives the dish that missing element.

Ugh, what a bummer! I literally bought this a day or so before it went on sale. 🤦‍♀️ Anyway, this was the only Shaoxing wine we’ve ordered and we liked it enough to reorder again. The bottle came in one of the nicest packaging we’ve ever received from Amazon and it was buffered so well that it made it all in one piece. The container’s pretty large, like the shape and size of a wine bottle. We didn’t even get to complete our first one due to the expiration date and thanks to the folks here, I made sure to check on this bottle upon arrival and luckily ours’ good through November 2027. We solely used this for Asian-inspired dishes and while I’m not the cook in the household, my partner vouched for this product and the meals always came out tasting great with this little helper. So I guess it still has a place to stay in our cupboard since it’s been pretty useful. 😏

I haven't actually had the chance to use this product yet but seems to be of high quality from an initial taste test. What's more impressive though is the insane attention to detail for product packaging. I have never received a product from amazon that was this securely packaged. the entire bottle is incased in custom foam. was somewhat difficult to removed but based off that i know that this product will always get here intact and undamaged.

I rarely cook Chinese food, but I found a popular recipe that had this rice wine listed a required ingredient. Amazing flavor. My dish could have easily been mistaken for a great dish from PF Chang. It also comes in a very nice box and can be gifted to your favorite home cook.

Not too salty like typical soya sauce. Very subtle flavour when cooking special foods.
