Pretty Color, but literally sharp!
OPI's 2011 Holiday "Gone Gonzo" is a clear polish with blue microglitter and large silver glitter in it. The affect is more like sequins from far away than a blue polish with diamond-like sparkles in it as it appears in the photos. This is not a blue polish. Basically, you are getting a smelly superglue with two colors and sizes of glitter in one bottle. The smell is nearly overwhelming. It smells like its vapor would explode if you lit a match anywhere near it.The polish goes on nearly clear if thin layers are used. I found that repeated strokes on the same "coat" of polish to make a thicker coat added more glitter to the nail and meant less coats, but three coats were a minimum to cover the nail. The ends of my nails are nearly clear because the glitter does not stick well to the ends and sides of nails. The ends of my nails had to be filed AFTER I polished them in order to remove the razor-sharp edges that the larger glitter creates when it hangs off the end of the nail. I drew blood with my nails they were so sharp and ragged at the ends. Remember to let the polish dry completely and use a fine-grit file or emery board to prevent tearing of the glitter or nail.Like "Crown Me Already" in the Miss Universe collection, this polish is extremely difficult to remove. I mentioned the smell...this really is like superglue! I used pure acetone and it takes 10-15 MINUTES to remove this polish. "Crown Me Already" took almost 30 minutes to remove.Even though this stinks, is impossible to remove (you will find glitter in your cuticles for at least two polish changes to come) and is time-consuming to apply, I do like it. I expected the blue to be a bit deeper, but with the number of large silver sparkles in it it considerably lightens the overall "color" of the polish. This looks like a sapphire-sparkling-frosty-icy color. I got immediate interest from other women in my office and not one has been discouraged by the roughness of the polish or its difficulty in use. (To combat roughness, use a thick topcoat like my favorite Seche Vite). In fact, it reminded me of OPI's Designer Series sapphire color, but coarser. It is not the color of Gonzo. In fact, I don't really see what it has to do with the Muppets. I like it and I am glad that I bought it, but it is not my favorite color. And I will be using it in a well-ventilated area.

Wine Purple Berry Fall Perfection
This is one of the most impressive, beautiful and classy nail colors I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I try to see things in the store before I buy them, but with social distancing I made gamble and was not disappointed. It looks like a wine/berry fusion of fall purple with a slightly frosty/creamy profile to add some shimmer. Very deep, dark and rich without looking too gothic like Lincoln Park After Dark (another favorite I always keep stocked). I think this is very work-friendly especially for colder months (assuming your workplace does not ban anything that isn't in the pinkish light color family). I got two bottles right away and will buy it as long as they keep making it! :)

Fun and attractive
I just gave myself a pedi last night with "Gone Gonzo" and it was the first time I used the product. I agree with the first reviewer, I was really surprised at first at how thin the polish was. However, if I put more polish on the brush than I normally would, it worked fine. The polish is thick, so it didn't roll off the nail. The color is close to the blue as it appears in the photo but the photo doesn't do the glitter justice - it really brightens up the color. The glitter is in two sizes, blue and larger gold or silver pieces (depending on the light). I would recommend making sure your nails are completely dry before doing anything else. I don't see this a.m. that I will need a second coat. It does dry a little rough, but it is glitter after all. I plan to finish with a clear top coat to smooth the finish. I obviously haven't attempted to take it off yet, but as the polish is on my toes, I'm looking for a longer lasting coat anyway. Fun color, will likely look to purchase the same Muppet OPI glitter polishes in the other colors ("Divine Swine" and "Getty Piggy With It" at least).

A becoming shade of lavendar
I love the shade! It seems lots of others do too! I recently had a bad fall and was admitted through the ER. During my stay, someone each day told me they loved it! It looked good for my stay!

I'd list this as a topcoat more than pure polish
I like this color, but am docking it a star just because it's not clear from the photo that this is fine blue glitter in a clear suspension polish, with bigger hexagonal silver glitter accenting the blue.I really do enjoy it as a topcoat (Three layers for a noticeable blue glitter over the whole nail, big pieces are tricky to get to stay fanned out) over either a pale blue (What's with the Catitude) or a silver for an icy effect, or grays to tone it down to a subtler effect.Removal is a bit of a challenge, my best tactic with the glitters is to forsake the cotton balls and just use Q-tips to control how much remover hits the skin around the nail. It takes longer, but it's more portable and you can watch TV rather than hanging over the sink and watching your skin go chemical pruny :-)

Poor quality & longevity
I love the color, but either something is wrong with this bottle or the quality is lacking. It isn't consistently smooth. It reminds ne of an old polish that needs to be thrown out because it's gotten too dry. Used with the accompanying base & top coats, the initial cover as ge is lacking and it still didn't last 4-5 days. Maybe this bottle is a fluke, idk but I'm not a fan.

Do not recommend
Very liquidy (needs many coats to be nice) and chips off very easily (a few hours after applying). Very disappointed in this product
