Cute game, needs more fairy outfits :)
I don't have any issues with this game. It is cute and funny for the littles. However, if you asked my granddaughters, they would say that it needs more fairy outfits. It comes with only one fairy outfit, and they don't like it if the other gets it. Maybe someday they will be interested in the astronaut or the chef outfits for their silly racoon, but for now, they are all in on the fairy. They still enjoy the game, especially the 3 year old. It helps teach her colors, patience, and taking turns...and that the fairy outfit is golden, especially if it makes her sister upset if she gets it first.

Fun, silly, great for all ages
We love this game. My three year old loves getting to pick the outfits for her raccoon. The outfits are adorable, you can be a vet, firefighter, ballet dancer, astronaut, anything! It's so easy to learn to play. The game can take 5 minutes or it could take 15 (we occasionally adjust the rules a little to keep it going). I would highly recommend this game!

Great fun Game
I picked up this game to take over to my grandkids house. Well My grandson loved playing this game with daddy, uncle and with grandma he thought the outfits were funny and even played with the outfits and raccoons after the game was over. A game that’s easy to learn and a lot of fun especially for a 3 yr old. I will definitely bring this over again and I recommend that great fun educational game. Give it as a gift and it’s not a big game so it can travel anywhere with you.

A family favorite!
The play time on this game is perfect. It's not over so fast that it's uninteresting, but it doesn't drag out forever. The busy parent has time to play a round with their kids, but it's not so time consuming that you have to stop mid game to make sure the kids get fed, bathed, and put to bed at a reasonable hour.Quality wise, I have zero complaints. The packaging is strong and great for storage between games (with easy clean up) and the pieces are well constructed to not be too easily ruined during play. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design of each "card" outfit. The illustrations are beautiful. The game is simple. One thing I love about games like this is that even older kids (my oldest is almost 10) enjoy playing, because it's really a game of chance, and yet, it's something that younger kids in the house can play as well (maybe age 2 or 3) with help from a parent. Kids who don't know their colors can learn them, and those who know them can simply enjoy the game. The longevity of this game being relevant to a child is pretty good.I was ambivalent about purchasing this game, but I'm glad I did. It's one of the better ones in our game closet.

One of the few games I can play with my 2.5 year old
I have played this game about 10 times now with my kids (ages 3.5 and 2.5) and they really seem to like it. As an adult it is totally boring but it's very hard to find a game that can engage both a 2.5 year old and a 30 year old so I'm fine with that. The idea is that you roll two dice - one that gives you a color and one that gives you a part of the outfit. You then find a costume for your raccoon that has the appropriate color on that part of the outfit. If you roll the underpants then you have to start over. The first person to get 5 costumes wins. My main criticism of this game is that unless he/she rolls underpants and has to start over the first person to play will always win. According to the directions the youngest player goes first so in my house that means my 2.5 year old daughter has won every single time. The other problem for me is that the game is not enough of a challenge if you only need 5 costumes to win. Ideally there would be a time that my daughter would roll the dice and be asked for a certain item of clothing but it wouldn't be available in the costumes that were still laid out. I've decided to modify it to require more costumes (6 or 7 depending on how many people are playing). My kids have been confused a few times because the article of clothing die only shows shirts, pants, and underpants. A couple of the costumes have dresses and they haven't been sure if that counted or not. Cute game, easy enough for my little one to play, interesting enough for my older child to play, could use a few improvements.

Practicing colors, numbers, and dealing with disappointment
I have 3 and 5 year old foster children. They love this! They were so excited to play and learned it quickly. After three times, they were able to play independently, which is a big bonus for me! Two variations, one simple, one more difficult. You role two dice and depending on the outcome you can pick one to two cards with the right color top or bottom, or you can lose all your cards and have to start over. Great way to practice dealing with disappointment and good sportsmanship. In order to win you must get five cards, so it encourages basic counting 1-5 with an actual object repeatedly. I anticipate many hours of fun!

Great first game for toddlers!
I purchased this game to play on vacation with my 3yo daughter. I was looking for something simple to introduce her to the concept of taking turns, rolling dice and winning / losing. This game was a HUGE hit. It’s very easy to play and only takes 5-7 minutes to complete a game. My husband and I both enjoy it is well. It incorporates colors, counting and (mild) strategy. The cards are a bit flimsy and bend easily. Overall, we are very pleased with it.

Jeu sympa

Great game for preschoolers
Raccoon Rumpus is a cute and fun game for children - I would say from experience that the ideal age would be 3-5. It helps children learn their colours, read symbols from dice, and take turns and play fairly. The game is simple enough for young children to understand and is cute enough to grab their attention. It starts with 20 different costume cards that each have a different coloured shirt and pants. The object of the game is to collect 5 different raccoon costumes first. Kids just need to match the colour and symbol and choose a card that matches - no reading required! When we first got the game, we also didn't play with the "underwear" symbol (where the raccoon loses all the clothes it has collected), just to not hurt any feelings, but as the kids have gotten older, we now use that symbol as they have a better understanding that it is just part of the game, and that you can't always win. So overall, I definitely recommend it as a fun game for the family, especially for kids aged 3-5!
