I was very glad to see Veranda FINALLY publish a book of their best. Still, there's so much more that is as good or better than what's in this book. I have been tearing out the best of Veranda and making my own Veranda book for years so it is good to now have a beautiful book I can display and one that adds to my decor. It is the only book on my coffee table right now.The whole book has lots of two page layouts with very little words. Just what I want in a decorating book. Veranda has done a great job in recent years of giving us large beautiful pictures with a minimum of words. Because most of us buy decorating books for the beautiful pictures!Thanks Veranda for giving us a treasure of your work and we look forward to many many more to come.

Was thrilled to find out Veranda was coming out with a book and it is just like the magazine...stunning, timeless and in a league if it's own. Each house is exquisite and a true treasure. I have been a Veranda subscriber from the beginning and I remember a lot of the houses! I don't know how Lisa Newsom narrowed down the options. I find myself saying "aaahhh" with each picture because the quality of the design is truly the best out there. I want to BE in each room, surrounded by such beauty. It is the most inspiring interior design book I own (and I have a lot of them.)

I absolutely loved the content of the book. However, It was damaged in packaging.

If you love the magazine, the book is an extension of the magazine. The magazine contains more "daring" or trendy styles. The book is a bit sanitized possibly to ensure it is timeless.If you love Veranda, you'll love this book.

Ich kannte die Zeitschriften von Veranda - das Buch ist jeden cent wert - grossartige inspiration - es macht immer wieder spass das Buch erneut anzuschauen, und immer wieder entdeckt man was neues! Mit einer guten Tasse Tee oder einem Glas Champagne (depending time of day) ist es fuer mich die beste Art abzuschalten, zu trauemen und zu geniessen. Gute Bildqualitaet.

You can almost always guarantee that American decor and design books will feature fussy, overstuffed, overdecorated and overcomplicated interiors. Ugh! But not this high quality, beautifully produced and interestingly written book.Whilst most of the houses featured in the book are located in America many of them have been designed and decorated by well known European designers with a great deal of subtlety and lightness of touch.That's not to say that the owners have not spent an enormous amount of money in achieving this look but very many of the ideas can easily be copied and applied on a smaller and more economical scale.I have hundreds of interior design, decoration and architectural books. This is one of the best and most interesting of them.As David Hicks, one of the greatest interior designer of all time said, 'good taste has nothing whatsoever to do with money'.
