Rab Men's Microlight Down Jacket for Trekking, Climbing, & Skiing

Perfect size, warm, comfy and real quality with down filled feathers. Hood isn’t too large like other brands, nice size with a stiffened peak. Can’t go wrong with Rab, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and more.

Great little coat. Son went hiking up one of the mountains in Wales 1st Feb and he said though coat was lightweight it kept he lovely and warm. He does like the Rab range. Perfect fit and comfortable to wear

Excellent jacket. Rab produce a great range of outdoor clothing and this Microlight Alpine Down Jacket is no exception. I purchased a Small and it fits perfectly. I’d say it’s a slim fitting. Warm enough for a British Winter, don’t really need an Article Expedition Parka in the U.K. Good hood, useful outside breast pocket and ‘toggles’ where you need them. Overall really pleased, highly recommended.

I bought my first down jacket a year ago and, because I wasn't sure if it was the sort of thing I'd like I bought an inexpensive one from a different brand with a view to buying a higher-quality jacket later on. This Rab jacket was the higher-quality purchase and the difference between the two is immediately noticeable - in the fit, the "feel" of it and in appearance. Very warm and cozy and reasonably water-resistant, ideal for my needs.Very pleased :)

My first rab jacket. Really comfy to wear, feels like good quality. Keeps me nice and warm. I would buy rab again. Only negative is that some of the inside feathers from the inner lining seem pop out. I'm losing feathers!

Very warm to say it’s so lightweight. It does feel very windproof as well. First time owning a Rab jacket , so wasn’t sure it would be worth it for the expensive price tag , but so far so good.

I bought the RAB Men's Microlight Alpine Down Jacket specifically for a multi-week trip to Torres del Paine National Park where I completed both the W and O circuits, and it exceeded my expectations in almost every condition Patagonia can throw at you.The biggest strength of this jacket is its versatility. I used it as an active insulation layer during cold mornings and windy hikes, and also as a compact warmth layer during breaks and at camp. Temperatures ranged from near freezing in the mornings to strong wind exposure throughout the day, especially near Paso John Gardner, and the jacket consistently retained heat without feeling bulky.What impressed me most was how well it works under a shell. The fit is athletic and low-profile, so it layers perfectly without restricting movement or trapping too much heat. The hood design is excellent in strong wind and stays secure without limiting visibility.Packability is another major advantage. The jacket compresses down very small in a backpack and quickly regains loft after being packed for hours. On long trekking days this made a huge difference because weather changes constantly in Torres del Paine.The Pertex Quantum outer fabric feels light but still durable enough for backpacking and repeated use with straps. It handled abrasion and daily trekking very well. Very disappointed with this item. A hole opened up on the 2nd wearing while taking a short walk in the city. I have reached out to Amazon who directed me to Backcountry who directed me to Rab and am still waiting on resolution. They want to charge me for a repair and shipping on what was clearly a defective item. Would not purchase from Backcountry or Rab again.
