We just finished putting up a climbing wall in our upstairs and these holds are great! We ended up buying more because we liked them so much (including my kids who are the ones actually using them). They look great, feel great, and perform well.We have 5/8” plywood on the walls and these screws are plenty strong to secure the holds with out any concern.We’ve only been using them for a week. But they have already had a lot of use!I only wish your got a couple more holds for the price. But they are worth the money.

This was a gift for my daughter who is quite the climber (instructor for quite a while). She is always wanting to keep improving her climbing strength ... or just maintain it through the winter while outdoor climbing is less likely to happen. For this purpose, these holds work well. The lag screws are substantial and should hold up well over time. The placement of and therefore function is entirely up to your imagination making these very versatile. I may have to get a few more sets so she can mix and match with various runs and holds.

These holds are a fun way to practice climbing and build finger strength. They are able to be mounted in a variety of ways. I choose to simply mount them in a two row grid configuration by depth (from largest to most shallow) along a section of plywood. I'm terrible with crimps, and this allows me to practice finger placement and where to apply pressure. The wood allows for just enough texture that you can use it without chalk. It feels smooth on my finger tips but doesn't allow them to slip off when weighted.The kit comes with various types of holds that has given me ample ways to practice different climbing scenarios. However, there is only one of each type of hold. For the larger holds this isn't really an issue, but for the smaller holds this only allows me to use them one handed. I would have loved to see pairs of the smaller crimp type holds, even at a higher price point.All things considered, this kit is fantastic, and has become a integral part of my climbing training regiment.

The issues with these rock climbing holds aren't really the company's fault. I should have counted the pieces before I ordered. I was hoping to attach these to a wall I have in my finished basement so that my little one can do some climbing this winter. He's a toddler, so I wasn't looking for anything advanced! However, there are only enough pieces here to create one small set-up. Furthermore, though there are screws included, they certainly won't secure these pieces into drywall. I'll have to attach them to studs, but that makes them a bit too far apart for my little one. My other option is to put some plywood over the drywall and screw the pieces into that. The holds are really smooth and appear to be well crafted. Maybe if they came with wall anchors as well as screws, I would be happier with the purchase.

I have not yet put these up, but am deciding where and how I'm going to. I do feel good reviewing them though because just out the box, you can tell that these are very high quality. They are sanded well and the different shapes and angles will provide a fun challenge once up on the wall. I'll start with these and hopefully add more. I have a gym in my house with vaulted ceilings so just trying to find the right way to hand them!

These are really nicely finished and solidly made climbing holds. A good variety is included, as well as a full set of mounting screws and washers. Keep in mind you'll want a solid backing to install these into... plywood, studs, or maybe even a dense polymer (like on some play structures). Drywall won't provide proper support, not even with the best screw anchors available. Keep in mind what you're planning on attaching these to and they'll make for a great starter climbing set.

This set of holds has just about everything you could need to train your climbing fundamentals, other than jugs and slopers. You'll find skinny and wide pinches, crimps, ledges and footholds in different sizes. Depending on the size of your hands, you might even be able to get away with a version of "sloper training" with a few of the larger holds. All holds in the set are smooth, symmetrical and definitely made with care. They're also super simple to install on a climbing wall or panel, and their wood construction fits a little better into regular home atmospheres than your typical brightly colored plastic rocks.I wouldn't use these holds outside unless you plan to put finisher on them first to keep them from getting water damage, but otherwise, this is a great set at a reasonable price, and both beginner and advanced climbers are likely to find lots of value.
