Best money ever spent
Best money ever spent to protect a baby while traveling in vehicle. The construction is as described making other brands pale in comparison

Good quality
These seem to be good quality. They are very heavy, but the bottom seat folds up to make them more compact than most carseats. They sit very straight up and down and don't look super comfortable to sleep in in the car, but our toddler did not complain.

I’m torn
Opening the box-Well I was confused as my box showed a blue seat. So I was about to return it as I ordered a black seat. Till my husband opened it am showed me it was a black seat. The color of the seat is not marked anywhere on the box.Installation- So the installation wasn’t as bad as most made it seem. A few video tutorials online and I figured it out. However...I couldn’t seem to get it to be as secure as I had expected. Maybe I pulled to much on the seat. I mean I even sat in it to get it to be as tight as possible while latching it.The instructions are horrible lol. I’m sorry. Tiny booklet with like no info. The info you need is not easily found. Probably a few stars above an IKEA instructions sheet lol. Thankful I had friends who have this seat and they walked me through. It also lacks detail. Like complete details. Like how long do I use the infant wedge for? Some pictures show kids as old as 10 months. Some as young as 6 weeks. I’m confused????Also a sticker or something where the straps releases would be helpful...that took a good while to even find. Had it not been printed on a tiny booklet with tiny font smashed on a tiny page with a tiny index. The foam things that come with it. Put a damn sticker on things. It looks like something that gets thrown away. Not something I’m supposed to keep for later use!!!!Price -At this point...I’m irritated. For the price I just dropped, I expected I guess more. You pay money for quality and safety and part of quality is good information about the product. Not just hey here’s a car seat for $300 thanks for buying have a nice day kinda company. And one cup holder bwhahaha. Really.Child- So....Seats installed and trying to place my child in. Well I get kids need time to adjust. He screamed. He screamed. He screamed. The cushions on the straps kept pushing into his face or getting in the way of strapping him in. I removed them an tried again. He screamed and screamed. Over a period of a month he stopped screaming but no matter how I strap him in. Adjust the belts. Have someone else try. He keeps getting red marks across his neck. The straps per the booklet are correct. Granted trying to find that information isn’t again simple.Head Rest- The head rest is also slightly confusing. Again the booklet provides very little information. With the head rest down. My child head slumps forward and then falls forward even more when driving. Yet when I move the head rest all the way up. His head doesn’t look like it’s being shoved forward and he doesn’t slump or move, but his head isn’t protected.Material - The material feels nice and looks nice. My issue is it’s really thin. As you can obviously feel the plastic material behind it. You can also see the foam under the cover through the strap holes. Which is what ever. But for that much money I don’t expect to see the insides of a car seat. The seat is foam and soft. The back part is hard as a rock.I’m torn because it’s rated top of the top for safety as it’s been tested more ways than any other. An should outlast any other seat. Sooooo you can see why for the price and all the issues thus far. I expected the price and safety to match the quality and ease.

perfect
Wow, aesthetically speaking this car seat if off the charts. My wife and I looked at several different brands over the last few months before transitioning our daughter to the next step. This convertible car seat doesn’t disappoint. Initially, we settled on the 3RXT. However, after committing to a little research, we found that the 3QX had additional safety features that we felt were essential to providing the best protection for our baby. The key features important to us were side-impact protection (6 layers…awesome) and keeping baby rear-facing as long as possible. Our previous infant car seat didn’t have an anti-rebound bar. We chose the 3QX over the 3RXT based on this additional feature. I now realize how important this option can be in preventing excess rebounding in a collision. Also, I assumed that all car seats were tested for roll overs. Again, thanks to my research I found out this was not the case. I’m glad Diono takes child safety seriously. It feels like there are doing a little more to protect my child. Finally, the steel frame was a deciding factor over the competition. Although I pray we won’t need it, I feel safer knowing we have a car seat made with steel frame protecting our child in a possible car crash. The other key features we considered a bonus were a memory foam cushion for seated comfort. Although we don’t have three children, it’s nice to know we could fit three across in our car when needed. Read between the lines honey. I much prefer the adjustable headrest on the 3QX over the 3RXT. We love to travel, therefore this car seat is ideal because it offers a foldable seat pan and is airline certified. Also, I found out that most airlines won't charge for car seats. It just makes to sense to use our own car seat vs. a rental seat. These are all great features that sold us on the Radian 3QX.

Kept my son safe when we were rearended.
I was stopped at a red light when I was rear ended by a car going 40 mph, car was totaled and my son didn't even realize anything happened. This carseat kept him secure and safe and truly limited any impact he would've felt. Luckily he had no injuries whatsoever and was only even upset that I was so panicked and startled by the loud noise. I felt like I spent way too much on this car seat but after the accident, I was quick to replace it with another immediately and truly believe this seat made the biggest difference in preventing any injuries for my son. We do have multiple cars and have cheaper seats in most but I keep this one in my car so he can be in this seat the majority of the time he is in a car.
